Another day, another bug breaking functions on Android Auto. Just this week, we reported on an issue preventing users from making calls while their flip phones are closed. While users have grown accustomed to the never-ending game of whack-a-mole, it’s still frustrating when the system doesn’t work as expected. This time, the issue is related to performing searches with Gemini.

Google’s AI assistant is capable of many things, like hands-free calling, summarizing emails, and creating customized playlists. However, answering questions and providing search results are Gemini’s bread and butter. At least that used to be the case, as a glitch appears to have broken this ability on Android Auto for some users.
