Galaxy S27 Ultra camera could have warmer colors and a wider dynamic range

The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to get a significant camera change. Unlike seven previous-generation Galaxy S Ultra phones, which had four rear-facing cameras, the Galaxy S27 Ultra is rumored to have just three. But that isn't the only change Samsung is planning. A rumor claims that it could feature different color processing.



A tipster (@WalleGalaxy) claims that the Galaxy S27 Ultra's camera will have warmer color tuning, marking a shift from the Galaxy S26 Ultra's slightly cooler color profile. This change could offer a more natural, lifelike look to photos, similar to iPhones. The company has reportedly overhauled its entire image processing pipeline.



Moreover, Samsung has reportedly updated its in-house Log format and the Advanced Professional Video (APV) codec for videos. This change is claimed to offer a higher dynamic range compared to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will continue to feature 4K 120fps and 8K 30fps video recording.



Based on previous reports, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will feature a newer 200MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and OIS. It is also rumored to use a completely new front-facing camera, featuring a 16MP sensor with autofocus.
