Samsung brings Google Photos integration and Gemini Nano Banana to its TVs

Samsung has announced that it will bring Google Photos integration to its TVs soon. With this upcoming feature, you can view and enjoy your best memories on the biggest screen in your home. Later next year, the company also plans to bring the ability to create images and remix them using Google's Gemini Nano Banana model to its TVs.



Google Photos is one of the world's best cloud solutions for backing up images and videos, and it will be available on Samsung's TVs and Smart Monitors via a software update in early 2026. With the new feature, you can enjoy watching photos and videos stored in your Google Photos account on your Samsung TV in a large and cinematic format. They will be organized by moments, people, and places.



This feature will debut with Samsung's new TVs in early 2026 and become available to select older TV models starting in March 2026.



Samsung wants Google Photos to be deeply woven into its TV's software. So, it is integrating the cloud-based image backup solution with the Vision AI Companion (VAC) on its TVs and smart monitors to meaningfully highlight your memories throughout the day. Your photos and videos will contextually appear on the Daily+ and Daily Board screens.



In the second half of 2026, Samsung will bring Google's Gemini Nano Banana-based image generation and editing features to its TVs and Smart Monitors. With themed templates, you can create and transform images, use the Remix feature to change the art style of an image, and turn a still photo into a short video.



Google Photos integration will also allow you to view related photos as a slideshow based on topics, such as beach, hiking, kids, pets, or a particular place you visited (like Dubai or London).
