[Palm WebOS] MetraRailMap

Metra Rail Map

This application is a map of the Chicago Metra Transit system. It was inspired by the Subway Map uploaded by thatdude and my recent experience riding the Metra rail.

Purpose:
I developed this application as a method to learn more about Javascript and WebOS. At this time, it is really just a simple image viewer wrapped in an application.

Installation:
Installation of this application has been tested with the SDK palm-install, fileCoaster and WebOS Quick Install.


Things to do:
Because this is a "learning" application, I will continue to upgrade as I learn more about Javascript and WebOS.

Things that I hope to do are:
Find a higher quality map because the map image used is low quality and fuzzy.
Bring up the individual lines and schedule information
Add the CTA map

Instructions for use:
When started, the full map of the Chicago Metra system will be shown. Double-tapping will center and zoom into the area you selected.


Licensing conditions:
There is nothing special in the code, so this application is in the public domain. The map image is Copyright by Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation Authority.


It will be available in the homebrew gallery.
