I started out with a HTC Mogul back in march of last year and through insurance I got upgraded to HTC Touch Pro, I hope I can get some things tweaked on it to work properly but my main issue with it is that the keyboard keeps dying on me, I've had the phone replaced 5 times or so because of the keyboard. I saw a thread that i'm going to read in a bit on how to keep the screen keewckedoard popping out which I believe is the main reason why the hardware keyboard keeps going dead. Any cool things or must haves please share but other than that I just want to make this phone run smoothly without needing to reset (which depending on the day and the keyboard ends up being multiple times a day) Thanks everyone.

Thanks guys, I spent a lot of time looking around yesterday and tried some things that didn't work so I'll keep at it, I see how things are done for the phone, but why are they done? Flashing a new rom? Does it make the phone faster? And my phone is 6.1, i tried looking for how to upgrade to 6.5 but the search came back with nothing. Is flashing a new rom make it 6.5? And How about touch flo 3D 2?

this has been discussed many times, think of it as this

your pc has a operating system (os) like xp, or vista and than branches off of those like ultimate, home, business, etc. but you change those you get different apps, looks, speeds, stability, etc.... same thing with a rom and let me tell you all custom roms are way better than the stocdk and well worth the upgrade... jsut read the changellogs in the roms thread and choose one that works for you and make sure it is made for your deivce since otherwise it may/will brick it.

like dash said it has been discussed a few times before, but to answer some of the questions, the only way to get 6.5 on your device if you are currently on 6.1 is to flash a new rom. Not all roms are 6.5 though, so you have to make sure to look closely at the description of each rom. TouchFlo 3d2 will also be in the description of the rom.

I'm working on the rom flash right now. just gotta wait for the battery to charge past 50%. Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037.zip. Is that one 6.5 with touchflo 3d 2? because it didn't say anything in the description. Thanks.

thats not a rom thats an unlocker... and please ask all questions i the thread that you got the app or rom from... thanks.
