[RELEASE] MEGA Sliding Sounds Pack

Touch Pro Update
For those users that have a Touch Pro you will need to install the HTC SlindingSound.cab file that is attached to this post. Once you install you will then need to do a soft rest of the phone for the app to show up under settings.

I've put together a MEGA Sliding Sound Pack for myself and my friends and thought I would share it with the peeps on PPCGeeks. You can also uninstall this cab if you need the extra ram back. If you see your work here, Thanks!

yes and that will be the slider sounds app that you use and than you just take the wav files from the rapidshare link and drop them in your windows folder and they will show up.

Dash - as usual, awesome, thanky.

Hubby has cooked up some things he wants to use as slider sounds. I am probably really going to regret this, but I told him I would ask.

In order to add sounds to the setup, I would have to have a pair, one for open, and one for close. In regards to the registry edits, I can basically copy and paste what you already have and change the numbers and name to reflect what I want, right?

I will look into it, and play with the sounds that he wants to make and let you know if I brick HIS phone. LOL.

what phone is the hubby using right now? i can get you an easy to follow guide for slider slounds and if he is on a qvga phone i can get him an app that works perfectly with no registry tweaks needed.

Hubby using TP, like mine, Sprint. I've put the different sounds in for notifications and such, but was worried about making changes for the sliders. I was hoping that I could just cut and paste them in pairs and replace a few that were already there, so no major issues.

i havent done them in a while but i think all you have to do is follow the same steps as for the mogul which we have a tutorial here for....... but i will look into it since i honestly dont use them on the pro since i do wayyyyy to much texting lmao..... but that is crazy lmao my own state.... it may be a michigan thing haha

download the app called sliding sounds... then when u open the app you point the directory to where the sound files are and set one for sliding in and one for sliding out and done!

yes, as weesje said, you DOWNLOAD from there, but as long as they are wav. format, you can ALSO use them as sliding sounds. so just look for sounds you want, search for mp3trimmer here on Wckediden, and use that to crop the song so that it only shows, or sounds, the part that you want.

anyone know if there is an issue with this on a tytn II?
I installed the cab... copied the .wav files to my ppc windows folder...
but when I open the sliding sounds program only the three stock sounds show up..
any ideas???

have you sift reset and the cab your referring to is the htc sliding sounds cab correct?

I have soft reset... i don't know if this matters but I have the brushed aluminium looking tytn 2 at least I think it is a tytn 2 I bought it used..but it already has "sliding sounds" under settings.. i installed the cab htc sliding sounds but all i see is the "sliding sounds" under settings.
I did remove the program HTC sliding sounds under programs and re install. but after removing it sliding sounds is still under settings..

well you uninstalled so of course it wont be there under programs now but it was before and you click on the sliding sounds tab from the programs once you soft reset and add the wav files to the correct folder in the windows folder they will show right up..... nad almost all devices have the sliding sounds if they have the keyboard...

I should have re phrased that... look under start/settings/system. i believe is there.

not there... there is one under start/settings/ personal....
but it only has 3 sliding sounds and they are the ones that were originally on the phone.

there is no HTC sliding sounds anywhere. the only place i can find it is under the remove programs list.

okay, see if you can find the sounds in the windows folder. if you can, just highlight the files and copy them to the stock sliding sound app

I tried that also ... but none show up... they are all in the same directory as the stock sliding sounds... I am trying to install it on my mogul right now to see if it works on that phone

here is an idea, if it works on the mogul, copy the .wav files to your sdcard, and then add then to your other phone.

its done the same way as the mogul if you dont use this app and thats through the registry..... heres a stone old tutorial on adding your sliding sounds.
