its fake. that model of phone doesnt have bluetooth built in and there is no way that infared beam would be able to travel that far uninterupted through a door since a tv remote cant even you do that and its stronger...... same process as why a phone cant start the car since the infared bean is not only strong enough it is on the total wtong frequency.

Actually, it's not fake. If you go to the blog url at the end of the video, he's dialing a second cell phone and using dtmf tones to activate the unlocking mechanism. Interesting project, just not real feasible in practice. But you are right about the bluetooth and IR not working for something like that.
