Problem with double contacts

Phone crashed a couple of weeks ago and had to get a ROM upgrade (I think that's what tech support had me do).

Anyways, since then my contact list keeps doubling itself... not sure why but it's a ***** to manage when you have 200 some-odd contacts that you have to delete on a somewhat regular basis.

Anyone have any idea as to the cause or a faster way to get rid of double contacts?

I am definitely a newbie when it comes to my smart phone... apologies...

yes there is a program that takes care of all of that... wcked posted it somewhere...
