More Info: Here's a neat little app: MobileJustice. If your WM Phone has GPS on it, this little app can run in the background and listen for a certain SMS message - the one you send it asking where the heck it is - to which it auto replies with GPS coordinates. They recommend using it for lost or stolen phones, but I have a much better idea: Strap your phone on the back of a stray dog, wait two days, then go looking: extreme geocaching!

MobileJustice is a freeware anti theft application for Windows Mobile 5.0 based devices that allows you to monitor and search your mobile phone via GPS coordinates.

The application consists of four modules:

1. SimMon (sim card monitor, started at windows startup)
2. RemoteMonitor(parses incoming SMS messages and sending replies)
3. GpsReport (get GPS position and send it to phones listed in command line)
4. MJConfig (configuration utility)

Lapplicazione è composta da quattro moduli:

1. SimMon (sim card monitor);
2. RemoteMonitor (analizza i messaggi SMS in entrata e in uscita);
3. GpsReport (ottiene la posizione GPS e la invia ai telefoni elencati nella riga di comando);

wait, so then...i was under the impresion that if i send a text a phone # (not my own) it would send me the coordinates...but i think im wrong...

How does this compare to WIMP (Where is my phone) app?

Nope, that sounds about right, if you lose your phone, borrow a buddy's phone and text your phone the secret message, then your buddy's phone will recieve a message back with the coordinates of the phone. Then you can plug those coordinates into your handy dandy GPS, grab your baseball bat and get your phone back! (or you could call the cops and say, PersonX stole my phone and they are at place x. this is a description of the phone... blah blah blah...)

This app will automatically intercept the txt, so the thief, in dash's case a stray dog, will not even see that there was a text message on it! That is, if this app works like WIMP, which from reading the description, it does.
