Where do I instal Slide2unlock

first you need to extract the cab file and then install it in your DIVICE (not storage card)...

crap...you think thats why my screen goes black when I hit the "settings button" on it? See i extracted it and put the folder in my storage card, but when I opened the folder it asked where to open and save the file and i said to device..would this make the difference?should i uninstall then re-install?

usually it requires a soft reset after installing the program.... i had the same problem i had to uninstall and install it a few times...

trying to uninstall is..did the stupid thing and just deleted the folder..how i uninstall?

start menu/settings/system/remove programs ...

i remeoved this thing and re-installed it and i try and go into settings in the folder and when i hit it, the screen goes blank. So I scroll my finger up and i can see the actual settings screen where you would tweak your settings but it disapears. I actually got the screen to stay one time and i tried to scroll through the buttons but nothing happened...any idea?

-I can get the default picture up with the flower and the little slide lock. I slide my finger across that but there's no animation of it moving..not sure if there is supposed to be. Anyway, once i do that, it take me to three icons, 1)the lock icon 2)the arrow 3)settings

???

i got this from another thread .....also it doest come with a .gif file you need to add it but for that you need to be able to get in to s2u2 settings and change the wallpaper from jpeg to gif....



Q. My device shows a blank/black screen when run S2U2 or "s2u2 Settings"?
A. It's not compatible with S2U2. It's a h/w problem. Try to turn ON or OFF the DirectDraw option:
1. stop iLock2
2. edit the registry, under \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2U2, find the key DirectDraw
3. set it to 0 or 1 (depending on which mode it doesn't work, set an opposite value)
4. start iLock2 & S2U2

as said in the coflict thread with the touch this app can cause some conflicts with the touch on top of it being buggy by itself.... that could be what is causing the problem. and the way you had it was ok. you can have the cab on the storage card and than install to the device i do that with all the files on my phone.

I installed 1.1 first. worked good.
Then i installed 1. works great. (can i erase 1.1)
now i want to install 1.219 can anybody guide me through it?

TYPOS MY BAD


I installed v1.1 and worked good.
Then I installed v1.21 and it works great.
Now i want to install v1.219 and i am having trouble on what to do can anyone help me out?

did you uninstall the other version then soft reset and then install the updated version? That sounds like that is something you didn't do!

I could try that
so uninstall 1.21 then soft reset the install 1.219?

yea i would do exactly this.

1. Uninstall the app.
2 soft reset
3. go in to the explorer and delete the S2U2 folder under the directory /Program Files/S2U2 folder. (do this after step 2)
3. soft reset.
4. install the updated version.
5. Soft reset
6. DONE!
