ThrottleLauncher 0.9.1 Beta Freeware
Requirements: * WM 5.0, WM 6.0, WM 6.1
* NET.CF 2.0 (3.5 strongly recomended)
* 200 Mhz CPU recomended. (The higer the better )
* SD instalation is supported but installing to device will make it work faster.
* 800 KB free space.
* QVGA display

Overview: ThrottleLauncher is a launcher app designed for Windows Mobile 5 and 6 in c# and c++. Basically it consist's of several pages containing rows. Each of the rows depending of it contents can be scrolled horizontally by using the finger. The app is fully configurable through xml files so the rest of the features depends on the diferent setups. By installing the 0.9.1 Beta the ThrottleLauncher will look like the new HTC Touch Diamond TouchFlo3D -> Manila UI . It is no 100% Manila-copy but it is a fast working Manila look-alike for QVGA devices.


The rows can contain several type of items:
* icons: can execute any program or link.
* clock: analog clock.
* text: can be updated periodically and can contain dinamic dates or registry values.
* photo dialer: you can place contacts with asociated photos on a row.
* running and recent apps: all running and recent apps can be shown inside a row.
Main features:
* Kinetic scrolling
* Fully configurable
* Skin support

* TouchFlo 3D alike setup.
* Scrollingmode attribute for the row (deprecates scrollenabled and pagedscrolling). Can have one of the following values:
* Kinetic: classic
* Direct: scrolling like the touchflo 3d footer. See below for details.
* Paged: paged scrolling
* None: will disable scrolling
* Auto: will slide automatically. Under development. Kuifjes request.
* For the direct scrolling, if used on the footer, it will show a big picture of the icon selected on the footer only if a picture file exists with the same name but with the _big sufix. For example if we have an icon at the button who's picture name is home.png, the icon showed full sized will be home_big.png. This is only valid for the footer. Although direct scrolling can be used on any row.
* New row attribute called alignment (see comm page of tf3d setup for an example). Will make icons align to the target. May have one of the following values:
* Left
* Middle (this is the default value to keep back compatibility)
* Right

Download Instructions: Copy both .CAB to your device and install in any order. Softreset after installation recommended.

what registry files r relted would u kno?

im not sure exactly which ones stick, a good idea would be to search in the registry for (throttle, throttlelauncher etc.) and see if the registry explorer finds related files

there has been quite a few issues with uninstalling this so im still trying to find an answer

Thanks mike i got the trace of the old file out with SK tools i had to do it twice the prob was i just did an uninstall first but i needed to do a uninstall(standard) took it right off:yahoo:

Why the HELL does this run so slow switching tabs?

It will say PAGE LOADING for 5 seconds, then switch to whatever tab I selected.

bc you have a mogul...the moguls lack of ram will slow this app down...it works fairly snappy on the touch

yea that is true! I got rid off Throttle Launcher because of that! Its SOOO NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!

Man what the hell.. I uninstalled Swcked Menu because I liked the look of this.. I'm just going back to HTC Home.. None of these things can ever be perfect.

If you really want it to work well with no issues! Do this! Hard reset! Install whatever apps you REALLY use the most. Then install the Swcked weather plugin for the WEATHER ICON and Download the audio plugin for the MSUIC ICON. Thats the best way at this point to do it, since you may have had HTC PLUGIN and Swcked Menu like me!

only plugins will show up under the tab icons in the launcher. You can have it open a application. Go into the throttle launcher settings and touchflo3d theme and then under music tab you should be able to have that tab open a application. Set it to open Audio Manager. I had mine in the past open WMP with no Problems!
