ThrottleLauncher 0.9.1 Beta Freeware
Requirements: * WM 5.0, WM 6.0, WM 6.1
* NET.CF 2.0 (3.5 strongly recomended)
* 200 Mhz CPU recomended. (The higer the better )
* SD instalation is supported but installing to device will make it work faster.
* 800 KB free space.
* QVGA display

Overview: ThrottleLauncher is a launcher app designed for Windows Mobile 5 and 6 in c# and c++. Basically it consist's of several pages containing rows. Each of the rows depending of it contents can be scrolled horizontally by using the finger. The app is fully configurable through xml files so the rest of the features depends on the diferent setups. By installing the 0.9.1 Beta the ThrottleLauncher will look like the new HTC Touch Diamond TouchFlo3D -> Manila UI . It is no 100% Manila-copy but it is a fast working Manila look-alike for QVGA devices.


The rows can contain several type of items:
* icons: can execute any program or link.
* clock: analog clock.
* text: can be updated periodically and can contain dinamic dates or registry values.
* photo dialer: you can place contacts with asociated photos on a row.
* running and recent apps: all running and recent apps can be shown inside a row.

* Kinetic scrolling
* Fully configurable
* Skin support

Changelog 0.9.1 Beta
* TouchFlo 3D alike setup.
* Scrollingmode attribute for the row (deprecates scrollenabled and pagedscrolling). Can have one of the following values:
* Kinetic: classic
* Direct: scrolling like the touchflo 3d footer. See below for details.
* Paged: paged scrolling
* None: will disable scrolling
* Auto: will slide automatically. Under development. Kuifjes request.
* For the direct scrolling, if used on the footer, it will show a big picture of the icon selected on the footer only if a picture file exists with the same name but with the _big sufix. For example if we have an icon at the button who's picture name is home.png, the icon showed full sized will be home_big.png. This is only valid for the footer. Although direct scrolling can be used on any row.
* New row attribute called alignment (see comm page of tf3d setup for an example). Will make icons align to the target. May have one of the following values:
* Left
* Middle (this is the default value to keep back compatibility)
* Right

Download Instructions: Copy both .CAB to your device and install in any order. Softreset after installation recommended.

I did. I think I have too many apps or something. I'm running the nexvision hybrid rom with newest radio. The thing is incredibly unresponsive. Maybe I'll reflash and try it again.

i really like this app for then swcked mobile shell with diamond skin cuz there are more menu tabs but it seems like me a click on another program like Opera or my sms then try to go back to the home screen of throttle, it shuts down. dunno what thats about but other then that it is pretty awesome very responsive.

the app is nice but buggy, not sure if i actually like it.....i had a difficult time making it scroll smoothly...

If i have touchflo built into my ROM already installed do i need to install touchflo3d as well?

yes, it needs both touchflo 3d and the throttlelauncher to work, normal touchflo doesnt come to play here, touchflo3d is the name of the theme for the diamond skin bro and throttlelauncher is the base application

i would recommend either swcked weather or if you want a full screen go and grab marsware weatherpanel

i just installed this app and at the end of istalling the cab it gave me a warning saying " this program may not function correctly because it was made for previous windows mobile devices"...which is odd i figured it would work on my mogul...has that happend to ne one else??? cause i really like the app..looks super sweet

Ok so i hard reseted anyways cause i was planing on it for the longest. I imediatley installed the 2 files above and got the same result.. The same error! I dunno wtf i a doing wrong?

damn you got me there, cuz when you install both files and check the throttletoday plugin, the theme should load automatically with no need to mess with the settings... sorry for the reset if it had to do with this app. can anyone confirm that they have the same issue?

yea i bro .. as soon as i go to my settings and check throttle plugin, it gives me the error. Is there a specific order in which to install?? like do i install one before the other and then soft reset and then install the second file then soft reset? Or install both in anyorder back to back then soft reset? ANYONE help please!

no prob jew!! let me tell you im stoked with this setup, i even got weatherpanel full screem in the weather tab, smooth animations, sweet look and feel!! this is what a diamond theme is all about! downside is that i still cant get the music tab to look like the modded pic

well when you install the update, the new theme should appear as a new touchflo3d option in configure, and make sure to use the tf3d mod to add plugins to the empty tabs

just so you know, you can install multiple themes for this launcher and toggle between them using throttle config. :yahoo: its better than uninstall and reinstall so its a great feature

yo so i downloaded swcked weather and well i cant get it to show up in my tabs also my audio manager isnt showing up either. i go to the config and choose the tf3d config and change the icon path but what am i missing?

did you reload the plugin when you saved the changes??? if not you should so that the changes take effect

i also recommend the updated manila theme and the tf3d mod that lets you add a music plugin and further customize the theme

ya i reloaded the plugin when i was done and i still cant get em to show up! i can go to programs and select swcked weather and all it does is pull up my config. you know when you go to the weather tab and it gives you plugin choices, swcked is not one of them so i browse on the icon just above that and choose swcked.exe, same on my audio

edit: the link you gave me I installed those when I installed the first off of this page. I just installed all of them at once after reading this thread.

odd i just hard reset added my apps and running this with swcked weather and hasnt given me hassle in putting it in.

ya this is all i have on cause i tested nightmares today and then flashed back to 5066 so this is the only today plug i have. I dont need to have htc home do I? I just go to throttle config and choose tf3d mod and push config then go to weather tab and on my icon action i have it set to swcked weather.exe no plugins checked and on show its black on auto load it says true. Same set up on my audio using windows media on icon action. then I save and reload plugin and nothing?

naw dont have to do that even you open of the throttlelaunch config and than use the tabs on the bottom and see if it is in under plugins.

all i have in plugins i s music, messaging, voicemail, and device lock. man its making me mad cause this home screen is sick i just have no weather or audio manager

ya i ran that i just got the swcked to pull up on my weather tab but when it pulls up it pulls up the config no weather. you know the page where you select your city and all.

right set your city and than go to throttle launch config and than go to the tabs on the bottonm where it talks bout plugins and than see if it is there.

i select my city and all but nothing happens. when i choose my weather tab it just brings up the config to choose my city again..wtf dash why is my sh:t bunk? also I still cant get my windows media to come up.

edit: i got my swcked to come up in my plugins, how i dont know but know when i click on my weather nothing happens so im soft reseting to see

Alright Guys!! Here Is The Scoop!! I Have Been Playing Around With This All Day As Far As The Plugins Are Concerned To Make Them Work Porperly! You Must Uncheck Any Plugin You Want To Use In The Throttle From The Start/settings/personal/today/items Tab! Uncheck All Plugins Accept The Throttle Launcher. Then Go In To The Throttle Config And Touchflo3d Is Highlighted And Then Click Config To The Right, Then Scroll Plugins And Select Them! Enjoy! Hit The Thanks Button Or Gimme Some Reps!

omg ive been messing with this all day and i had it all the way it was supposed to be nothing checked under today and all the only thing i never did was reload my touchflo 3d cause i was always reloading my tf3d damn jew you just saved me from a heart attack from stressing

hahaha i was on the phone with jew when we finally got it and he almost gave em a heart attack... i was like i just hard reset installed and had no problems and it clicked that i didnt have anything checked than so he tried it and KABLAM-O and yes jew isa hero for the night lol

yo jew i just watched your video and i was wondering on your music player what are you running? I'll i can get on mine is the music tab I make it pull up windows media and i like your skin. Also on your contacts instead of making it your favs did you reroute it to icontact?

his music player was the stock music player with a diamond skin found here i believe, as for how he rerouted stuff i dont know because i personally am not running this right now

yes its wmp with diamond skin, and yes you can remap most tabs to any app. just use the tf3d mod and the first option of every tab (where it says :page) is where you edit what you would like to open, i also have icontact in that tab and blends nicely cuz of the diamond skin. a s2p control full screen musIc tab plugin is in the works so ill post when released

After a few false starts with HTC Cube/ftouchflo I decided to give this app a try. I am happy with it. Resources are still plentyful on my PPC6700, no unexpected lockups, and quick screen changes. I like it very much.

And the Diamond theme looks awesome with the black background against the silver/gray casing of the phone.

okie i need some help here sorry guys well i dl the cab but i had ened up delete it cuz i thought i waswn't going to use it the i deleted it off the device but it still show alfonso throttlelauncher still there i even used resco to delete but when i try to reinstall it keeps sayin unsuccessful whats up why won't it run?

hmmm ok do you mean that it doesnt erase from the explorer or installed programs??? this app is still beta so there might be bugs or imperfections, if you mean the program list, there are alternative remedies like, sktools, pocket mechanic or activesync to uninstall

but it seems that theres still trace of the last install that is conflicting with the new one, you can check the program files folder, do a search in resco explorer for files related to throttle, or go manual and search for registry related to it also

i posted the link to the developers thread where he is offering support, im gonna research this problem to see if i can give you a clear answer due to the fact thet it never happened to me before, but in case you want to get a jump on it

when i try to delete the TL from the programs file on active synce it says i dun have permission

played with this for a while today (nullus) its alright i still think mobile shell is better looking with the right theme
