Samsung Notes now labels text created with Galaxy AI

Samsung has released an update for Samsung Notes with a changelog entry that says an â??AI watermarkâ?� has been added. We checked the app to see what that means, and the change is easy to miss.



Samsung Notes includes Galaxy AI tools that can automatically format a note, summarize it, correct spelling, and translate text. After you use one of these tools, the app shows you the result in a pop-up before you decide what to do with it.



On Samsung Notes version 4.4.48.15, that pop-up now displays the message â??This text was generated using AIâ?� beneath the result. We spotted it while using the spelling and grammar check and auto formatting tools. The message wasnâ??t there before the update.

Samsung already places a visible Galaxy AI watermark on images made with tools such as Creative Studio or the wallpaper generator. In Samsung Notes, the â??watermarkâ?� is a message below the text in the result preview.



It lets you know Galaxy AI was used without placing a visible mark over the text itself, so you probably donâ??t need to worry about this update making your use of AI in your notes easier for detection tools to spot.
