Comm Manager Skin is messed. Install This - CommManager Fix

HTC Calculator link on the start menu doesnt work ( found a fix )

Solution:
htcCalculator was already installed, the issue was only that the link on the start menu was not connected to the actual program. So you just go to Device/Windows and scroll until you see htcCalculator in there. After that hold down on it and copy. Navigate to Device/Windows/Start Menu/Programs and delete the HTC Calculator shortcut that is already there. Then just paste shortcut and if you want you can rename the shortcut to HTC Calculator instead of htcCalculator.

Windows Media Player link on start menu doesnt work ( found a fix )

Solution:
The same procedure as 1 except the file you are looking for in Device/Windows is wmplayer and you can delete Windows Media shortcut from Device/Windows/Start Menu/Programs and then paste this one and rename it to Windows Media.

If Opera 9.5 Beta is closed using the x button in the upper right instead of using Menu > exit > ok the widgets menu comes up and you cant reopen Opera without either a soft reset or using a dask manager to end the opera9.exe process.

Solution:
The only fix for this is using the Menu > Exit > ok instead of the x there isnt a fix that i have found other than that.

The default lock option is not 6.5 default; it is the old device lock from 6.1 ( found the fix.. this may have been outlined somewhere and I overlooked it )

Solution:
If you go to Start > Settings > Lock > Display Tab > change to windows default instead of windows classic and it will be the 6.5 lock press ok and you'll be all set.

Steps up above pretty much explain everything..if did a wrong step somewhere no biggie just hard reset, back up necessary stuff..btw t3d2 titanium i think it has the calculator fixed already might wanna checked that out...thnx

I found it easier to just install a new HTC calculator and now it works from both the start menu and the mobile shell widget. (Not using the TF3D.)

question...thinking about flashing to this rom. is this for alltel? im guessing not because there was someone asking how to get mms to work. on my mogul whenever i had to try and get mms working by installing programs it never worked. so id like to get one for alltel that still had mms enabled without installing things.

yes this will work for alltel and many have confirmed working without troubles mms wise... you can take a look ast the ppcgeeks link at the end of the post and they will have more talk and info on it but thye have confirmed does work over there.

Yes you should do with your Pro always after even time you flash take out battery then hard reset, This lets thee pagepool take effect along with other things on the phone.

The titanium version seems to work fine, but I have been wanting to use the TF3D2 version and that version just won't let me use internet at all no matter what I do.

I have done 2 flashes and 4 hard resets and I've manually configured the internet with #777 and I've also installed the dcd sprint carrier. cab as well to no avail. I'm going to throw it out the window and go to another TF3D2 rom. I like 6.5 and all, but I like the built in calender for planning more.

yeah im with alltel. i tried using it today again but it still wont work right. the arcsoft doesnt work for mss. and the phone was freezing and acting very sluggish. so im back stock now. looked really clean and sleek tho. i wish it would have worked.

I tried doing the wmplayer paste in the start menu but I don't get the option to paste. How can I get that to work? Also my touch flo album viewer won't play videos. Would this two be related?

yeah i know. i was at work so i needed a working phone. i put the stock rom on my sd card in case that rom didnt work, so i just flashed back to stock for now. will try another one tonight or tomorrow most likely.

i cant find the arcsoft cab on this site, i found it on ppcgeeks and it was version 5_0_31_7. is there a newer one? it says it was made for an older version of windows. that may be my mms problem.

I can't get the windows media player icon to paste in the start menu folder. I can copy the icon but it doesn't give me the option to paste it when I go to the start menu folder, and I can't do it if I plug the phone in via usb on the windows explorer. Anyone have that problem too?

Use total commander or resco file explorer.

i did both wmplayer.exe and .lnk and still doesn't work. Still just have a dead link in the start menu. pictures and videos still says " source filter for this file could not be loaded " when i try to watch videos taken with the camera.

I was wondering if there is a way to delete an app that appears to be cooked into the ROM. I think I have a bad dotfred task manager. It seems that when I try to launch it a progress bar gets about half-way across the screen then freezes (it says "cancel"). I want to either delete it and install again or use a different task mgr. I cant seem to figure out how to delete it. If the remove programs won't work, can I just delete all references to it in the registry an in the windows folders using Total Cmdr or whatever?

I tried that. I found a cab and reinstalled, but that didn't work.

Cant uninstall a app already built into a rom , just will have to use a different task manager or flash another rom. I didn't have that problem with this rom. You pulled out the battery after flash and hard reset ?

Yea kinda weird hes having problems with task manager yet im running the same rom and it works great ?Id try a hard reset again see if this time around he gets it working.

I'd rather not flash to another ROM, too much of a pain to reinstall all my apps over and over again. I'll just do w/o this task mgr or install a different one.

you have to install your carriers arcsoft cab.... if you are sprint here's the newest which includes voice text messages :)

this is a very old rom with old software and drivers, you amy want to consider moving up to a new one like nrgz, gokus, nfsfan, etc.. those have the newest and most up to date things included, including the tab that you desire.

did you go to start/settings/today/items/ and than change it to windows default? touchflo is default if your not using the titanium version

Look in the start menu under manilla Tweaks....you can put the programs tab back on there. :highfive:

OK,

After going through a crap load of roms and finding the right third party apps to run on (and work correctly) I have chosen this to be my stop all rom till something crazy comes out......

Everything works great BUT in the Power menu under Advanced the check box for "turn off decice if not used for" keeps un-checking itself. This will happen if I restart or something.
Its not a reason to flash again but it's annoying.

yeah, that is too bad. Can anyone tell me the name of the dialer atleast? I like the small dialer alot and all my co-workers digg it. Been searchin through alot of dialers and cant find it. If anyone can give me the name of a cab file link, I would really appreciate it.
