and to answer your questions (in the future since you will now know all about it please post in the help desk) (just trying to help you along not trying to be mean)

for your device you are cdma NOT gsm. gsm phones will have a sim card that has to be inserted for you to get service. your device the touch in the cdma world is called the vogue or the 6900. here you will see many things for the touch that may say sprint, alltel, bell, telus, uscelluar, cricket...... those are the other major cdma providers and things including roms are universal for the device UNLESS the description states only for this provider. im barely touching the above topics so be sure to read sicne there is much more to learn. and as for the touch which is the device you have its a non keyboard device. the diamond would be the prodessesor to the touch while the touch pro with a slideout keyboard is the prodossesor to the mogul aka 6800. totally different device look wise screen wise (you have a 240X320 QVGA screen resolution while the touch pro and the diamond have a (480X640 VGA) screen resolution..... you can look on google images for the way the device looks and for the changes like internally like faster processor, higher resolution screen, g sensor, better camera, etc.... hope this helps ya out osme and puts some of this into a clearer picture for you.
