[MUST-READ] My New Battery Cover

well here it is, the specs are just the light from the flash on the camera...... the red is vibrant and looks just like a car and i mean just like a car. what i did was dye it with a mix of red and black (3 parts red to 1 part black) and than let that boil for about 10 minutes or so. after that i gently dabbed it off with alcohol (which lifted some of the dye from the cover.) than washed with water and dried. i than took a moist alcohol napkin (thanks b-dubbz) and wiped the phones battery cover again with the alcohol napkin. (more color will come off but not much either time.) than i took some clear coat from the shop (used on high shine vehicles like corvettes and vipers) i sprayed the clear coat on in 4 LIGHT layers. (it doesnt have to shine after the first layer or two) than when you wake up in the morning you taqke some 1500 grit sandpaper and sand it until the shine gets dull. (just be careful not to burn through on the edges since it can easily be done) than once the cover is all faded take some buffing compund and LIGHTLY rub that around the cover. once completed with that you can use the polish that you use on your own vehicles to give you the shine :> after 30 days of the polish being on there you can than proceed to waxing the batter cover also. (you cant do before otherwise the clear coat wont fully harden making it to fail in the future) and yes i did tape off the lens, i used the same pinstripe i did for the letters on the battery covers to tape off the edges and than just a piece of trimmed electrical tape for the middle and to hold down the pinstripe....... tell me what you all think and enjoy :>

ok and i worked as a professional auto sprayer for 4 years and its not orange peel. i painted for the most expensice paint truck company HME also... i know what i am doing..... dont know why both posts had to be all criticism....

yeah im jsut glad that the pro or the battery didnt go with it.... in michigan sicne we get a lot of snow and rain we have the ones that have sewers jsut randomly in the middle of parking lots with jsut the steel wide and long mesh covers..... the pro landed on the battery cover and than the cover shot about 2 feet into the sewer but thankfully the pro stop on impact :>

i feel ya...we got em here to and i dropped car keys in em once....the big like 6' by 6' mesh drain right? lol filled with like dead animals and run off sewage....it was a b*tch to get em out.

hahhaha yup them are the ones :> and damn the car keys? !!! hahahaha that must have stunk like dead animals hahaha. how did you get them out? and why do they have big mesh grills like that in the parking lot next to where people park and place their keys in their pockets and take them out lmao.... thats public school education at its best :>

It was at Target....and there were like 8 of em around the parkin lot....i had the cart boy get a long hanger....he put a few together...and he had a magnet for his lil cart pusher thing and lowered it and got it for me....hahah magiver if u ask me...lol
