Ringtone is silent

Hi all Wckediden users,

I have what I think should be a fairly easy problem to solve. I find that when my TP is on loud, the messaging tone works but the incoming call tone does not (ie, it is silent). Both ringtones are those that came with the phone. Did I accidnetally screw with some settings?

go to start/settings/system/sounds and notifications and than under incoming call make sure it isnt set to silent..... i would also check to make sure you dont have any progiles set to work or sleep or anything in that nature.

The ringtone works when i try and change it (eg: go into sounds and notifications menu and press the little play button) but when someone calls it doesnt make a noise...?

right did you make sure that you are set to the ring feature in that setting i told you above.

I am not sure what you mean by profiles. To change the ringing level I use the up and down buttons on the side of the phone. Even when this is at maximum, msg tone works, incoming call tone doesn't.

As far as the settings in the sound and notifications section is concerned there is no option to turn the ringing on silent, only change the ringtone. in ythe sounds tab my events and programs are activated.

yes there is you will see a dropdown in the area i told you above.... start/settings/system/sounds and notifications/ when there make sure you have the top box as saying ring and not silent or something...... and if your having troubles with this and album art i would say that something got messed up in the registry and its time for a hard reset.

The hard reset fixed the ringtone, however I found that when I add songs to the device the correct album art covers appear but when I add it to my storage card in the phone the problem occurs. Does that info help?
