I switched from my Mogul to my Touch bc I like this ROM. Now that I have been using it for a day or so I've noticed a few things...

my advice would be hard reset.. even though you just flashed and I know it sounds like it wouldnt do much but just do a hard reset.. a lot of times it clears stuff up

for sure and if you havent after flashing this rom also take the battery out for a minute and reinsert... this allows the pagepull to be refreshed.

anybody have any idea why the slide to answer is not working properly.... i mean it works but not that good... most of the times when i slide it it does not answer at all.... i tried calling myself from a land line and even after sliding i could still hear my call tone on the land line fone so it was not answering..... it has not been working good since the first time i flashed this rom.... any idea ?? should i hard reset ??

you could try that, but are you sure that you are sliding it all the way?

well yah..... but ur rite, if i really concentrate and slide it all the way then it works fine, but if i just do it like normally i would it will not answer and more over it stucks rite there and only the end key works... now i've started using the send key to answer... u know that slide to lock theme, s2u2, i wish it'd work atleast like that.... its not working properly..... everything else is gr8 tho.....

Thanks guys, I already did the battery thing.... I kinda figured a hard reset was in order, but I was just resisting so I wouldnt have to spend a half an hour reinstalling all my apps and finding the serials.... But I did hard reset and everything works like a charm!

Is it possible I have an app that is conflicting with this ROM? After a hard reset and installed about half of my apps back its doing the same thing as before. After I installed the first handful of apps I kept testing it by calling and sending myself texts from another phone after every install and everything was still working. So I stopped testing and just finished the rest of the apps. I am going to hard reset again and test after every install, maybe I'll find something...

I'll report back if I find anything....

its prolly two apps conflicting with eachother and not the rom...... what apps were you running when it worked fine and what did you add after that point that made it do whatever since you didnt share that with us

Nothing, thats what I don't get. Everything installs and works fine, the first call answers just fine, and then I did nothing else to it and the next call started the issues again.

has anybody tried sprint mobile email on this rom ??? its not installing properly on mine... when i try to rum the cab file, it gives me a error saying "can not load resources(126,7e)" ... it does that few times and then stays on that installing screen but the progress bar does not change so i have to reset my fone.... i thought it was my fone so i did a hard reset this morning and now its giving me the same error again... so i don think its my fone... any idea guys ????

i think sprint emai is done with and no one has it anymore..... or doe that start at the beginning of the year.... havetn looked into this recently.

After messing with this for HOURS.... I think I may have found out what was making it buggy. The newest version of SlingPlayer Mobile and the XM radio/Music ID/MobiTV combined cab install. After installing those (respectively) the bugs came back. After uninstalling soft reset, everything worked like it was supposed to.... I installed an old version of Slingplayer and the new standalone tactile version of Music ID and it seems to be working fine again.

i thought that sprint email account was gonna discontinue.... but im talking about the sprint mobile email program.... r they same thing ??? but i was using it until few days ago when i flashed my device with this rom... but may be ur rite dash ??? so can anyone suggest me if there is any other programs like sprint mobile email... to get emails from few different accounts ????

I'm having a weird problem with this.

The first time I installed this, I was having a similar problem to mrpants delay in ringing. I had already set the slot index to 0 but it was still delaying answering. But otherwise, everything was working correctly.

So I decided to do another hard reset after yanking the battery again. (did that when I originally installed this rom)

After it rebooted and loaded everything it now answers calls correctly. But now, push mail isn't pushing. I set up mail2web and if I do a manual send/receive it works. If I go to the com setting in touchflo (next to last tab) and turn push off and turn it back on it immediately gets my mail. But then it won't push again until I turn push off and back on.

Any ideas?

Anyone else experience any problems with push mail on this rom? I've re-flashed a couple of times now and still can only push once after I turn push of and then back on. It will not push again until I repeat.

I'm thinking of flashing stock and then reflashing to this rom to see if it clears up. Just hate to go through all that if it's something that can be fixed easily.

I'm not talking about webmail.

Windows Mobile allows you to push mail to your phone much like the blackberry. I have been using mail2web as my exchange server since they are free. Instead of having the phone check mail periodically, I normally get my mail as it arrives via push.

But it's not working now. It will only work immediately after I turn push off and back on via the comm panel.

I love the look of this rom and the touchflo that's included. Way better than stock.

But since push mail is an essential for me, I'm gonna have to go back to kaos' rom I guess. It must just be something specific to my setup or maybe I'm the only one using push mail. I dunno. :(


***** Edit **** I just checked hotmail and see that they now offer push mail for mobile phones. Is this what you are using or are you having problems with the webmail? If with the push, then I am curious how many users of this rom are actually using push and how many are having problems making it work?

Windows Mobile allows you to push mail to your phone much like the blackberry. I have been using mail2web as my exchange server since they are free. Instead of having the phone check mail periodically, I normally get my mail as it arrives via push.

But it's not working now. It will only work immediately after I turn push off and back on via the comm panel.

i tested on a backup phone and my push email through mail2web worked fine on this rom.

What's weird is it worked fine for me the first time I flashed to this rom. I did a hard reset because I was having same issue with delayed ringing as mrpants. After the hard reset was when I started having problems with push.

I'm flashing stock now. Once I verify push is working again, I'll reflash this rom and see what happens.

BUT, I think I've narrowed down the problem. This time I forgot to change my regional settings from English (Australia) to Englush (US) until after I had set up mail2web. I also like to change the device ID to something more personal. I did both of these after setting up and verifying working push.

I'm going to hard reset and change them one at a time to see which one breaks push.

Actually, that was several hard resets and another reflash of Dette 2D and it still isn't working. Whatever it is, once broken it doesn't seem to be repairable until you go back to stock.

After much flashing and reflashing, it appears that changing the regional setting from English (Australia) to English (US) is the culprit. And once you change it to US, even hard resetting doesn't fix it.

The only way I have been able to get push back was to flash back to stock and then reflash Dette 2D.

D/\SH, since you tested this on an old phone, can you verify that your regional settings are English (Australia) by default and that push is working?

Then will you change your regional setting to English (US) and soft reset, then see if push still works for you or if it is broken?

Wow sorry about the absense from this thread! and the whole forum!
I had a little computer OS malfunction here!
I had to wipe my entire computer and start over basically.. I finally got it working though so it should be good and I can get on here more often now! :)

Long story short...
Getting a virus on XP(ended up formatting)
XP and Vista disc's WOULD NOT install for me! (piece of **** Windows!)
I had to finally format with a Mac DVD and then I installed Mac (again...)
And then XP STILL wouldnt install on the other partition
Finally I got Vista to install.. (By this time im pissed off)
Then my Dual boot F***ed up and Mac wouldnt work anymore! So I had to re install mac..
Finally my Dual boot of Vista and Mac works!

Since I just typed that out and it isnt relivent to this thread.. Heres the main thing
I will answer any questions I can tomorrow because its 2:30AM right now and I feel like Im dying.

i am having some problem with the S2U2 ( i guess)... wherever i get any call i slide the answer key and it freezes on me.... i can't answer at all... almost everytime i have to call them back coz it wont let me answer.... so i turned off everything on the S2U2 settings and i got the original htc's answer or ignore things... but its still doing the same even on the htc's options... is it because of the S2U2 ??? if yes then is there a way to completely take it off of my fone coz i did not see it under the remove programs options.....

did you soft reset after goin back to original htc answer ignore? if not try that and see if it helps...and possibly reinstall s2us then soft reset....if it has been doin this from the start of install it may have just been a corrupt install, if it started to do it after a period of time i'd check and see what you installed after s2u2, something can be conflicting w/ eachother.
