The update has arrived!!!

its much quicker and user friendly....no lag!

Description:
iContact is a simple contacts applications for your Windows Mobile device which will help you scroll your contact list in iPhone style by sliding down your finger in the screen! It's really amazing and if you get used to it iContact could be one of your everyday apps.
The app is very basic, it only lists contacts in scrollable list. Use it for accessing your contacts by scrolling the list with fingers, similar to iPhone. Just tap, drag and release.

To select a contact, just tap and release, and standard contact details dialog should appear.

October 9, 2008: New version! 0.81

A new edition of iContact is ready for download, v0.81, which adds better compatibility with iDialer, fixes some bugs and adds some other small features.

I've been hard at work on iContact v0.9, which will include list
caching for much faster load times, and display by all categories (not
just favorites). But it's taking longer than I expected, so for now
I'm releasing v0.81 with a few cool updates, most notably better
compatibility with iDialer:

Here's the full list of improvements:

* made "left" and "right" buttons work better with iDialer
* made "dial" use iDialer, if it's installed
* made "Manage Contact" and "Edit Contact" return to details, and actions go back to list
* Fix weird bug with show summary, w/ default email account
* Added long click in titlebar = exit program
* Replaced Control Panel icon with a (hopefully, more stable) one

How does this app differ from the v0.8 TweetyBear put us on to? "It's quicker"...not really saying much if it was never thought to be slow or lagging. I think this is one of my favorite apps, clean and ease of use...Phenomenal!

the only thing that could be different would be some minor bugs fixed but if you haven't noticed anything wrong then i would say its not really worth updating

i used to have would completely agreed with that. I must have stayed with the .4 version for the longest LONGEST time. i didn't want all that added clutter. This doesn't only fix a bunch of bugs though. Though subtle i find it more eye appealing with photos on the contacts when selected and added ways to modify settings in the program. And i too found it not to be lagging but when i went from one to the other it was a most definate noticable change. The one thing i can't agree with is if you have the .8 then i think that this update is a definite upgrade. besides, if you don't like it, how hard is it to switch back? just seconds of your time

I've got a bit of a problem guys; I installed and decided to uninstall, I've used the basic Windows uninstaller and a third party uninstaller and I get problems. After uninstalling my contacts do not go back to the stock setting and I can't even open my contacts, it just says icontacts.exe is missing. I'd like to go back to the default contacts list, anyone know how? I only posted this here since it pertained to this app.

out of curiosity what was the 3rd party app used to uninstall? and how is it that you were able to uninstall twice? I always use memaid for my uninstalling, you should give it a try. It's pretty hardcore.

The third part app I used was SKTools and I believe I got it from this site. I was able to uninstall twice cause I reinstalled due to the "Icontact.exe missing message". After uninstalling Icontacts, Without Icontact.exe I cannot view my contacts, it just gives me that message. I really don't wanna flash my phone again, and I know this seems like a small thing to some, but honestly I like the stock contacts list and so please anyone help :]

than just use sktools to remap the soft button in the lower right to the original contacts.

Re: iContact 81

Is anyone else having problems with the [X] not showing up to close the application on the top right part of the screen? For some reason, I have the battery indicator icon in the top right with the add a contact icon right below it. No [X]. I did notice in one of DASH's Mogul videos that the [X] shows up.

I have to hit the battery icon to get to my Today screen which basically minimizes the iContact program. I then have to close it through the running programs section. FYI: I have my task menu setup to completely close out programs on [X].

Currently, all I have installed are Swcked Mobile Shell and phoneAlarmPro.

Thanks...

Thanks...
This version of icontact comes with a settings feature (see attatched photos to see how to get to it) Start/settings/system/icontact. Choose the option that gives you the choice to have the program either close or minimize upon closing. (see Photo) As far as the X or the battery tap I've always tapped the batery indicator for all the versions i've run.

I dont think so, but you can make it a default option on your home screen as the left or right soft key.
