Hey this is the same one i have off xda Oh Well looks Nice Still....lol

Hey Iceman, I just copy these right to the Windows folder correct? I did that and overwrote only got the wait icon to work . no sound, no animation and still have the crossbow of WM6. It told me that I cannot overwrite the welcomehead,png. Thanks in advance bro.

you have to use a program like resco file explorer to overwrite the file :>

yes the welcomhead96 goes in the windows folder.

I put the animated.gif and the startup.mp3 in the startup folder and the welcomehead96 in the windows folder and the only thing that is working is the welcomehead96 is there another place that the other 2 files need to be or am just that stupid lol anyway help would be great thanks

so where exactly would you put the files the welcomehead96 i know goes in the window folder and that part works but where would you put everything else i put in the startup folder and the only thing that comes up is when the phone is loaded up the core player comes up showing the animated picture and another coreplayer comes up playing the sound

thats because you have in the startup folder and those are the apps that start up when the phones does..... and by other ones you mean other screen? if so they go in the windows folder also.

i already put the welcomehead96,animation and the mp3 in the windows folder and still the only thing that shows up is the welcomehead96 does the other 2 files need to be renamed? sorry im such a noob when it comes do this stuff

i need to know what you have them named to be able to tell you to change or not.

sorry dude the files are named obiously welcomehead96.png, animation.gif and startup.mp3 and i moved those files to the windows folder.

ok! here is the scoop... YOU NEED TO rename the file Startup.mp3 sound to... Phoneon.wav Note you must convert the mp3 to a wav file. then drop it in the windows folder. rename the animated.gif to a different file name. Look in the windows folder for a .gif file name ***SPCS.gif rename the anmited.gif to that file and drop it in the windows folder. If someone would confirm that file name of the animaed startup image that would be a big help!

The startup sound loads right before the today screen starts to load...

or would the splash screen randomizer solve this

and is the splash screen for qvga or vga
does it matter

yes you have a touch so you would want QVGA, VGA would be the diamond or touch pro since they have the better and clearer screen.

Thats was my bad DASH.. didnt re-up my profile. Diamond now. So VGA is what I am looking for

This splashscreen is a quarter vid graphics array (QVGA) i guess

as it is running pretty small on the diamond (to view not in boot)

Any chance of making a vga version of this

i myself am not that good with photoshop (and dont have it installed on my lappy right now) but maby one of the guys/gals fro mthe graphics team can take a shot at it for us :>

ok the renaming worked, now the spCS gif runs and doesn't finish its whole cycle b4 the welcome head pops up so while da spcs gif is still running da welcome head loads rite under it so its a half n half thing goin on. but no big deal just trin it out, just curious how do I convert mp3 to wav?

you would have to use a convert tool.... an easy one to use and to convert with is right at www.cellsea.com and than just convert there save and upload to the phone :>

This Vista Mobile Startup seems like it's more troble than it's worth, any chance in having it in a cab file. It is pretty cool though. Props!
