Kaos's **** Sprint Custom rom Build 420 Take 3

Whats up to my Wckediden fam. Been awhile.But i finally got my exe issues sorted out. Now some of you like my roms. some like but wanted some different things...So I'm a do it like this. Here will be two versions of my take 3. One more politically correct. One same old raw attitude.So hope you enjoy.

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. THIS IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR THE HTC SPRINT MOGUL.FLASHING THIS ROM MAY/WILL RUIN YOUR DEVICE.

My Rom is based off of nueROM v2.0, build 5067 with some stuff removed some added...all and all very stable...

the file's name should be ruu_signed.nbh. you drop that into the ruu folder. if you read dash's sig you should have no problems.

yes its quite easy, i had a lil trouble at first but if u research and follow the steps, itll b all good n da hood lol jus make sure u flash the right radio first then flash new rom. Tweetybear is a big help tho

This is my problem now, trying to drag da nbh file to my RUU folder and it's telling me ( compression not supported for this archive ) wat da heck!!!!!! I'm using IZArc is dat the right software or I need something like WinRAR.

honestly, i'm not sure what you're doing. when you downloaded the ruu, did you unrar it first?

One more thing I have to do flash stock rom over stock rom first right..... Then countinue w/ da flash a custom rom from a stock rom and so on correct.

its always a good idea to have the newest stock rom so you dont have to worry bout the radio being outdated and having to flash that manually.

right nw jsut follow my steps in my signature from the tutorial and unlock the phone and than follow the steps to flash your rom.

Someone help did da rom dl and now my phone is stuck on the bootloader screen and want do nothing......... whats wrong or what did i do wrong.... It also has in da upper right hand corner of da screen RUUNBH in yellow letters.............. HELP

did you u unlock the phone? does it show olipro 2.40 as the bootloader?

ok proceed to flashing your rom then. drop the ruu_signed.nbh file into the ruu folder and run the ROMupdateUtility.exe

Does this update allow you to use the usb as modem feature to host internet to another computer without using the phone as modem data plan usage?

no rom will allow you to do that but you can always use the programs like pdanet or wmwifirouter that do allow it.

i'm running rom version 3.56.651.0 with radio version 3.42.02 on my sprint mogul. whats the fastest securest way to flash to kaos custom take 3 rom? thanks. is it compatible with my t-mobile wing as well? i would like to flash using a storage card. thanks.

no it will not work on your wing.... you would have to use a wing aka herald rom.... and for your card this is what oyu will do.

1. unlock your phone using the titan unlocking tool that can be found in my tutorial for flashing in my signature.
2. than download the kaos rom from the first post along with the radio.
3. rename the radio and the rom like it says in the 1st or 2nd post.
4. format an extra card to FAT32 (this will erase all data)
5. drag the radio rom over to the card and insert card into phone
6. manually place thhe phone in bootloader by pressing and holding the power and camera button while soft resetting.
7. the flash will occur
8. delete the file from the card and now add the rom nbh which you renamed
9. place it in the phone and enter manual bootloader again
10. go throught the steps and your done!!!

if for some reason the radio flash errors out after a couple attempts at flashing flash the rom first and than flash the radio..... remember the phone will freeze at the boot screen until you take the battery out for 1 minute and than place it back in the phone and than hard reset.

I flashed to Take 3 yesterday, everything was fine, Phone as Modem worked and Active Sync did too. Today Active Sync worked, then I wanted to use Phone as a Modem, and it started asking me for a User Name/Password, which I have never had. I pushed ok without entering a password and it connected, then it kicked me off and now I can't connect to Phone as Modem, or Active Sync. It doesn't appear to recognize my phone through the USB cable.

Please Help!

your fine all you have to do is soft reset your phone and than use a program you can find here called pdanet. i would link you but since you pm'ed me on this thread asking me too look you can find :> better than an infraction

I'm a bit new on the ROM Flashing thing. I see good reviews on your ROMs Is this your newest ROM? Any ROMs with changed themes for WinMO 6.1? Sorry if this was answered already.

this isn't his newest rom. the newest one out is the take 3 hybrid. as for themes, you can install them on your own. just search in the themes area. you can also search for his take 3 hybrid.

you shouldn't have any problems changing themes. i do it all the time!

yeah, it has to be a .tsk file. you can put it in your "mydoucuments" and then you can chnage it. or root directory of storage card. it works for me!

I am having trouble with loading the custom rom. I cant seem to get it to load. I used the sd card, formatted it, and loaded the file. It says it was a success. How do I load load the **** sprint rom?

stick the stylus in the hole on the bottom of the phone.... than follow the steps of taking the battery out for a minute and than doing a a hard reset.

So I take the rom file, put it on the card, hold power and camera buttons down, and put the stylus in the reset hole. What do I do when I get the colored screen? At the bottom in the wharea, it says "serial". At this point, I dont have any options. I can get to the colored screen but from there, i'm lost...

rename the rom file to titaimg.nbh and put on card that's been formatted to FAT32. hold power n camera button down and press reset button. then you'll see a difference
