Touch for Diamond

So when Sprint fades out the Touch and introduces the Diamond, if my Touch craps out for some reason and I take it in there for them to fix but instead they just give me a new one. would they give me a Diamond, sense its replacing the Touch? I know it wouldnt be right away because Sprint would still have The Touch around, im taking a bit in the future.

yes, after all the touches are finally gone; probably about a year after the phones end production. they will start replacing them with diamonds

yup and surprisingly they still have the 700wx in stock for replacements so i can guarantee that they will have the touches for a while.....

i spoke with acct services about the internet service on my touch or lack there of. she said when then diamond comes out on sept. 2 she will call me on the 5th and swap my touch for the diamond for free. this is all speculation right now, but i will be sure to keep you guys informed when the 5th comes to see if she keeps her word. wish me

thanks. i already did. now i just have to wait. that's the part that is killing me. i really want the touch pro, but i will use my upgrade to get that one when it comes out. so hopefully i can be like you when i grow up dash:brows:

y would they do that u no how many people would do the same thing i thnk thats not accurate and by the way im dissapointd bout the 2.8 size screen i almost dont want it cuz of dat

my internet hasn't worked for the last month. they couldn't fix it on their end, then i got a rude tech and his supervisor on the phone. both needed to be retrained on cust serv to say the least. at that point i asked for cancellation. the rep in cancellation dept looked at the notes on my acct ant offered to exchange my device for a treo 800w. i told her the screen on that thing is way to small. at that point she told me if i can hold out until sept 2 that is when the new htc phone will come to sprint, but she will not be back to work until the 5th. she will call me at that time and have me one next day air and a return kit for my touch. she asked if that would be ok. i told her that i would have to accept anything she tried to do to fix the issue because i am still under contract until nov. long story short i just wanted my internet fixed and now maybe walking away with a diamond. on the other hand still don't know if this will fix my internet problem or not seeing that they have already gave me a new mogul and touch ( i have both) and that did nothing

seeing that the diamond didnt come out on the 2nd as the rep told me. i am thinking that it might be kind os hard to call me on hte 5th to replace my touch. i will keep you guys posted on what happens or should i say if it happens.

well i the rep didn't call me back, so i called them only to find out i have to wait until the 14th when it is scheduled for release. the other rep told me the pushed the release back, as if we didn't know this already, but i was hoping. once again i will keep you guys posted if they will trade my touch out or not. still waiting.

what do you mean make a home page? if you mean your homescreen with themes and all get the theme you like and add plugins which can be found in the programs areas.....

first of all you need to make your own thread for this question and second of all be more descriptive of what you want/need to do. If you need your homescreen customized say that if you want to set a homepage in your explorer say that :)

here is the update. the rep called me back today and ordered the diamond as an even exchange. gave me the order number and informed me that the phone should be here by tuesday.... can hardly wait.

dash is there anything i need to know about this phone that is not posted all over the internet. i have done alot of research and i like what i see so far.

so i emailed sprint executive office to try and get my touch replaced for the diamond. but just a quick recap back in april I emailed sprint about getting my touch replaced for a mogul and they did that for $80 and let me keep my touch. but i didnt like the mogul so i switched back to the touch. now they made me two offers. First if i send them the mogul and the touch they will spend me a diamond at no charge, but i sold the mogul when i switched back to the touch. Second i can send them the touch and theyll sell me the diamond for $150. heres my question. if i go buy a mogul for less then $150 and send that to them do you think sprint will check the serial numbers. and if i get the diamond after Sept 19th, on Oct 19th when the touch pro comes out, go up to the sprint store and say i want to switch the diamond for the touch pro would they do it since its with in the 30 days. Thank you

naw they wont check the numbers ofr use on your account... they will only check to make sure the numbers are clean and that the phone wasnt reported lost or stolen..... and i would try to see if you could find one that cheap but good luck... they all seem to run around that range at this present time.

but i looked on the site and the touch diamond and the mogul are at the same price
so shouldnt i be able to replace the mogul with diamond since they are at equal price?

diamond is a new phone and if touch is still available, maybe they'll push you to the touch first. who knows. try and see if u can get the diamond and get back to us on that. i'd like to get diamond too hehe

I have discussed the case with my supervisor and as an exception, I will
replace the handset from here. The retail price of HTC Touch is $399.99
and the price of HTC Touch Diamond is $549.99. So, you need to make the
payment of the price difference of the phone i.e. $150.00.

How do you interpret this? Now they don't want to honor this, am I interpreting this wrong?

hahahaah ask sprint to look in your notes and than talk to retentions and see if they can work the deal fo you... sprint is known to tell you **** they cant do just to get you off the phone especially if your not going to do it right at that very moment.
