ThrottleLauncher 0.9.2 Beta Freeware
Requirements: * WM 5.0, WM 6.0, WM 6.1
* NET.CF 2.0 (3.5 strongly recomended)
* 200 Mhz CPU recomended. (The higer the better )
* SD instalation is supported but installing to device will make it work faster.
* 800 KB free space.
* QVGA display

Overview: ThrottleLauncher is a launcher app designed for Windows Mobile 5 and 6 in c# and c++. Basically it consist's of several pages containing rows. Each of the rows depending of it contents can be scrolled horizontally by using the finger. The app is fully configurable through xml files so the rest of the features depends on the diferent setups. By installing the 0.9.1 Beta the ThrottleLauncher will look like the new HTC Touch Diamond TouchFlo3D -> Manila UI . It is no 100% Manila-copy but it is a fast working Manila look-alike for QVGA devices.


The rows can contain several type of items:
* icons: can execute any program or link.
* clock: analog clock.
* text: can be updated periodically and can contain dinamic dates or registry values.
* photo dialer: you can place contacts with asociated photos on a row.
* running and recent apps: all running and recent apps can be shown inside a row.

Here is the error message I'm getting, and I hope somebody can figure it out cuz I really love the layout. I only get the error message when the phone boots up, a lovely white screen saying:

Error
An unexpected error has occurred in ThrottleTodayPlugin.exe.
Select Quit adn then restart this program, or select Details for more information.

File or assembly name 'ThrottleLibrary, Version=1.0.3107.41568, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null', or one of its dependencies, was not found

If I click Quit then it goes ahead and boots into windows. If I click details, then it says:

TypeLoadException
File or assembly name 'ThrottleLibrary, Version=1.0.3107.41568, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null', or one of its dependencies, was not found

Whatever that all mean, I doubt anybody will have a clue. I get it on every boot up and it's pretty annoying. I've reloaded both cabs several times and even loaded it from my pc. I'm running kaos take 2, and even flashed to kaos take 3, then back to take2. Does the same thing with all the roms. I'm almost positive I was running this on the stock alltel rom with no problems, and have just been having problems with windows 6.1. After it does boot into windows, it runs great half the time, and locks up the other half. Seems like I'm also the only one having this issue. If anybody knows how to fix it, let me know lol. I really like and wanna keep this theme. :triste:

mmm basically what that is saying is that it cant read it.... do you have the program installed to the card??? the main memory reads first on the phone than the card so you might be getting the error if you have it installed to the storage card and not the main memory.

Nope, I install all my system files to the phone..never the card. It has to be reading something because it loads it up. Does lock the phone up from time to time though.

I get the same message every time. but I just hit quit and then it loads and runs as normal. I was havin trouble at first and then i reflashed. now thats the only problem i have with it. Except that I still cant figure out y music tab isn't workin for me. Can't get it to display album art or anything.

I was getting the same error message untill I reinstalled to the main memory. That should fix your issue.

I have never installed it to a memory card though, it's always been to the phone's main memory

This is the error screen I was getting everytime that I booted up. I found a patch for it, and after installing, it runs error free and smooth. Just install the cab file to your main memory and soft reset.

yeah just go get htc home customizer and drop the folders after extraction to the areas and choose from HHC.

i know this has already been touched on but it was never answered. Is there any way to change the default email from outlook to yahoo? I have tried everything but unfortunately there is no direct .exe to link it to other than tmail. Its really annoying whenever i get an email to go through the programs when there is an email tab at the bottom? Also is anyone having an issue with i contacts and this program? I know i contacts wont open through the launcher, but when you open the contacts through the dialer or the start menu, for some reason my phone will freeze and of course the soft reset fixes it,. Not really a big problem cause the contacts tab is pretty sweet.

yeah, go to throttle launcher configuration and click mail tab and type in Yahoo! and save close program and reopen. should solve that.

go to throttleconfigure, right next to touchflo 3D press the config, then scroll to mail tab, on the bottom where it says Mail Account, type in Yahoo! (just like that) and this will solve it.

macflo??? do you mean the touchflo3d cab?? if so then yes, basically cuz throttle is the base application and touchflo3d is the theme that gives you the diamond interface using throttle

when you download the zip file it contains 2 cabs files. you have to install both, in any order is fine. just long as u install both. so yes you have to install the touchflo3d, this lets you modify tabs such as contacts, music, mail, ect....

wow this is pissing me off.... i installed throttle launcher and it won't let me open anything anytime i try to open anything no matter where i try it flashes then goes back to throttle launcher thing...

soft reset won't work either...

have you tired uninstalling the two and soft reset and reinstalling it again?

i just reran the exe file and uninstalled it but ide like try to open a program hit a button anything at all it would just flash then do nothing... i coudl go through and see everything... but nothing happened when i clicked...

just read up on some stuff says you HAVE to have today screen disabled... how do you do that? just make sure theres checked in settings? btw how do i detected the net framework of my phone?

ok i got her working.... so far ive had it working for 24 hours and heres some feed back from what ive noticed.

bugs:
i txt a lot during the day and there seems to be a bug with it on my mogul to where if i open it and try to type to fast it goes to the phone dialer...

if i leave it on the home screen it won't go into hibernate by its self. and s2u2 doesn't work half the time with this

pros:
clean interface
smooth transitions.
everything works.
low mem usage.
nice integration

cons:
no labels on the icons when your scrolling through them.
lack of customization with comm manager. aka like making the lock button my s2u2...
coudln't figure out the inbuilt taskmanager.
contacts are hard to read when no picture used...
built in text messaging app a bit slow and not so userfriendly.
doesn't go back to actualy home screen of it when pulled out of hibernation mode
top right corner its suppose to say sprint pcs and it cuts off half of the pcs.
no battery meter on home screen. (for mine...)
buttons aren't very responsive...

are you going under start/settings/personal/items/ and than going there and you sure you installed the program correctly and to the main memory and not the storage card.

did you uninstall it through the exe file? also when you reinstall it you have to start it on the today screen. go to the today screen setup and check it make sure its teh only one checked.

I played with this for a while and never got the email or the sms to work smoothly.
I love the app, it looks really really close to the diamond. Im guessing by the final release all will be good. for now i decided to uninstall it because i cant get it to do what i want.
Ive read the whole post and even renaming the "email" in the settings to "gmail" didnt allow me to view it. the sms i would still rather it be threaded than Diamond style.

also the contacts. I there anyway to link that to icontacts?

in touchflo3d settings, go to the home tab, change to 12hr, save and reload

I have multiple emails setup within outlook. I have a AOL, Gmail, Sprint, and other ones. I CAN NOT get any to show up under the mail icon in throttle! I have tried everything!!! What am i doing wrong? What do i need to type to see ANY 1 of the emails i have setup within outlook in throttle launcher. ALL i get is a White envelope and MAIL at the top! Nothing inside the envelope or words on it! Thanks!

ALSO: I have setup mail2web email account and synced through active sync and nothing shows up either!!!!
