OMJ's WM6.1 Custom Touch ROM w/ UC, GPS, REV A! Updated 5/29/08

I have upgraded with success. I am having some trouble with my Instant Messanger + (IM+) program...it just closes out when I try to IM someone and I have been missing calls (not all calls) but some go directly to voicemail. I tried to do the *228 reprogram through verizon which worked, but so far I dont know if this version is better than the last, but maybe I'm doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

did you take out the battery and hard reset after the flash?

No I did not...I just did a soft reset once the customizations started. What will the hard reset do? I just got everything setup on the phone the way I like it lol..I dont want to have to do a hard reset :(

well the injstructions say with any rom to take out the battery and hard reset...... so you have to do that for it to work correctly. and yes it will delete everything.

Doesnt the battery have to be in it to do a hard reset?

yea how else would you do it?

Ok just to confirm. Hard reset was done and Shape Services IM+ will not function with this ROM update. You can view your buddies online but as soon as you try to IM someone the program will close out.

it should bro but it might be one of the apps that dont work with 6.1

Well it was working with the previous OMJ 6.1 version so it must have been something that changed between the two versions. I did get the latest JAVA version ROM...if that makes any difference.

IVE TRIED TO DO IT REGULAR EVEN TRIED ICS ALSO CALLED VZW AND ASKED A TECH TO HELP ME CONFIGURE THE ICS AND THEY TRIED BUT COULDNT GET IT RUNNING IM GETTN DESPERATE

Just to confirm...Shapeservices IM+ software will not work with this ROM release

Also..DASH maybe you can chime in on this one.

On your previous OMJ 6.1 version I was able to add a hotmail account and aol account into the mail directory into the phone using the auto add settings. This version just directs me to the Windows Live website to check my email over the internet instead of through an exchange server....any ideas?

no idea i dotn use either i just have all my email forwarded to my mail2web account. Sorry

But your earlier version of the ROM was setup to automatically access the hotmail server and download the email to the phone...I dont get how this one does not do that

i run this rom and it does without probel detect the stuff for me i even tried hotmail like you said and i have no troubles.

i wanted the verizon version and the link is down i tryed in ie and firefox even had my friend try it on his pc with the same results the error we got is this.

you would ahve to talk to omj over at ppcgeeks to get it reupped sicne it is in his folder of the FTP..... and also this is a really old rom off a leaked version that was released around 6 months ago or so..... i would recommend going with an updated version.

If you want a Mogul ROM, use one of KAOS roms that say "MOGUL", or youll brick your phone bro. Gotta read more homie.
