My Rom is based off of nueROM v2.0, build 5060 with some stuff removed some added...all and all very stable...

I updated to the latest official release of WM6.1 from the leaked Kaiser roms. XIP has been ported too, seems like it had some new memory management features too. Enjoy, and let me know if you encounter problems. As a quick test of speed, try going to file explorer and opening the windows directory.

This is a clean rom, so it doesn't have much on it. YOU MUST USE THE NEW BOOTLOADER (Olipro 2.40) for this rom to work.

**Known issues:
GMAIL users are forced to use POP3 Email due to auto-detection (EDIT: Omegax posted a fix: type in gmail wrong and fix it later).
(5050+) = crashes imgfstools on nbmerge. You'll need to manually repair the partition table before using nbmerge.
(5050+) = PLEASE TAKE OUT YOUR BATTERY AND PUT IT BACK IN, THEN HARD RESET AFTER FLASHING. The new partition table requires a full reset.

Please post any requests in this thread and I will try to do my best to accomodate them, provided that it does not involve adding applications to the rom. IF you find out how to fix something, please post it so I can fix it in my next release.

If you are new to flashing, please read this provided by quantumforce1. No, your phone is not a brick if its on the tricolor screen.

You must have radio 3.35 installed on device before flashing..

if you guys feel i should leave a java manager in i will next build..but i use opera 9.5 and its built into it...never had a issue...use it to browse as if i was on my home pc...btw from 8am till 430pm sometimes later i am running gps all day..never dip below 60....

p.s only reason i never build in appz like opera or pie...is because each device has a different user code....would be a headache and nightmare...also on the htc customizer i left out cause some people reported time glitches on it..also some didn't know it was there and installed it again causing a cluster ****...lol so i figured better safe then sorry.....

the ****, people are picky dude. the rom is perfect the way it is!!!! Instead of making demands, people should suggest so that for the next release kaos acknowledges them and if he wants incorporates them. All in all, this rom is great and is btter then nu2's 5060 build, battery, performance,memory management, no bugs,fast on start up it all works awesome.

This is by far the best rom of which I have installed on my phone. I tried No2chem's 5059, the original **** sprint rom, no2's 5060, and one of DCD's roms, and nothing even compares to how well this rom works! I use a lot of programs, and my mogul stays cool, and it works so much better! So, I completely agree with broski

thanks means alot to me....I always felt less in a os is better really...more responsive and faster all and all is what the main key to any thing i develop..Those who know me well enough like dash and broski will tell you.even before i started building my own roms in the kitchen...I was completely anal..Just feel things should always work correctly...as broski would tell you he in essence my beta tester before a public release of the take 2 rom...Besides myself few others found the keyboard glitch.what can i say no ones perfect..lol..and yup as you guessed i was so anal not with in 12 hrs of release i revised the rom...lol I feel confident when i say this is so far best rom out for the mogul...But as always i gotta give credit where due...dash of course for getting me addicted to flashing..lol and no2chem and the guys at ppc for bearing with me...I learned alot from no2chem and colonel and the kitchen developers...this rom here is a culmination of what I've learned...As i stated once before i wont release unless its worth the upgrade...so don't expect to see my rom for everyone no2chem releases or kitchen updates...but if there are major improvements you can bet my versions wont be far behind.all and all thanks for the feedback...

so when I went to program the phone, it went to the Verizon Wireless program, but when I go on IE or anything like that...it says I'm on Sprint PCS...what should I do? :-(

did you try another hard reset and soft reseting before customizations go through again

actually there isnt any customizations that run on this rom, Kaos took all that out. But im not sure if it means it works for verizon. you should wait for him to get back on tomorrow around 5-8 or so....

thanks for the backup broSki i flashed to it when it first came out but didnt remember that it didnt have it this time around as in the past month prolly flashed 6 times or so they all blend together after awhile lol just know so far this is by far my favorite out of all of them

Well, I took the plunge and it was definitely worth the time and effort. 12 hours of moderate to heavy use (a few phone calls, push emails all day long and moderate app usage, plus 2 hrs of bluetooth connection to my nuvi) and I'm at 70%...Very Impressive! Well worth the reload time. :thumb:

Works flawlessly.
I've been connected to My work's exchange server for over a month now. It's worked through the original rom, the Sprint Rev A rom and both of kaos' roms. I was the first one to do this at my job, so there was some setup necessary by our IT folks, but once that was done, I was good to go. It was the main reason I picked the Mogul.

if your talking about carrier saying sprint pcs..it is sprints radio 3.35 your using..use opmon to change that to what ever you want it to say...and as per i.e taking you to sprints site..change the home page lol...broski has verizon with no issues....i cant test on there so ask him...i am sprint customer....

you LIE! j/k I spoke with broSki last night (he was helping me with this install) said he never had verizon...

where do I get opmon? I tried searching for it here, didn't see it, did a google search, didn't see it either...

how do I verify if the GPS radio is working? I installed windows live and had it try to center on GPS, and that did nothing.
also, do you think it's best to install new programs on a storage card rather than on the main memory?

ok figured as much, tried to install the Effcom tool, not showing up on the home screen

and that vTap thing is slow, there's flashplayer 7 installed in this ROM? well that's what it said in the first post, tried youtube, sadly it didn't do anything. installed HTC's streaming media program instead. but awesome ROM!


now if I can only figure out how to make sure that the GPS is enabled..

Youtube's actual website won't work because they use Flash8 now. You should be able to click on the video thumbnails and they'll give you a small window with the option to play the video. Tcpmp works great for that. And with the GPS, I had the same issue (or at east thought I did.) Tell LiveSearch to center on GPS and leave ur phone sumwhere with a clear view of the sky for about 10 minutes. It takes a REALLY long time the forst time.

vtap isnt slow on my side. may just be the area or their server being busy or slow at the moment.

Dont know if anyone has had this issue, but I have pcm keyboard and since installing this ROM ive had this happen twice.

At first typing is great -nice and fluid- then after a couple of hours when I try to type with pcm keyboard it is really slow to react (i press the key and it take about a second and a half to recognize that its being pressed) and then after some more time when I try to type the phone freezes and I have to soft reset.

I tried to install Kaos FU rom and my phone gets to the screen where it shows the little dude flipping you off and it won't go any further. I have tried so many things I don't know what to do any more. I would appreciate any help you could give, thanks.

you didnt follow the steps in my signature for flashing and flash the 3.35 sprint rom first. so do a search for radio 3.35 and flash that than you will be golden.

23 after flash and 17 steadily during the day. goes down to 11 when i have 4 apps opened but after closing and then hit the oxios goes up to 17 again

there isnt anything wrong with the keyboard...pay attention was fixed long ago..with in hrs of release...so reflash to the newer version if your still using the one wih touch keyboard...

I love this rom, it works great for me. I wanted to find out if there was a way I could change the picture of the little guy flipping me when it loads though? I am in a line of work where that would be frowned upon in a bad way if someone were to ever see it. Thanks for any advice or help guys.

Unfortunately, you can't change it, in a previous post on this thread, kaos said that it's built into the ROM, but apparently he can load up a custom one for you....for a price

yup as i stated earlier in this thread...its built into my rom...it clearly states the pics and programs in the rom..i don't get why people would flash something clearly stated and then want to change what is unchangeable and stated so...As i said i can make a custom what ever you like for those for a fee off of my rom...it will still include kaos edition badging.As well as i retain creators rights...

as per the other persons memory issue...try not installing stuff on your device...most my stuff is on my sd card.

b/c I dont believe in havnig more then 15 apps, i dont put more then what i need and I dont use phone for media purposes, I use it for texting, navigation,phone calls, and calendar. O and I had the phone un charged for 2 full days and battery is at 34% lol nice

you guys can believe me or not, BROSKi, i use to get 16.5.-17.5mb after soft reset. I ran Optimize in SKTools and I delted a bunch of stuff and it asked me to soft reset and after bootup got 18.5-19mb after bootup steady at 15.5.-16.5mb average. I was like WTF? I couldnt be more happier!!

mine after boot up is 19 ...after running all day i average 15 to 17 mb....all day long...I don't get why common sense don't prevail..Install as much as you can to SD CARD.Thata what i do..oh and dont download every single item for htc customizer...only those you use...cause that will eat up a **** load of your stuff...btw i have both ultimate launch and ifonz installed on sd card with no issues..

There may be two ways of thinking on that. I would have to say that if you have a boat load of apps you want to install, that makes perfect sense. But if you only have a few apps that you use, wouldn't you benefit more speed wise to have them installed directly on the device? I suppose that depends on the size and speed of your card, but I've always been of the understanding that running apps from any type of add in device causes slower speeds. I think I even read somewhere on here that D/\sh installs all his apps to his device. I actually have tried it both ways and now have my setup a combination of both. Things I use frequently and need the speed from, I put on the device itself and less used things go onto the card.

I guess it just really depends on what you want installed on your device and how you use it. I think you can make a solid argument for doing it either way.

mine after boot up is 19 ...after running all day i average 15 to 17 mb....all day long...I don't get why common sense don't prevail..Install as much as you can to SD CARD.Thata what i do..oh and dont download every single item for htc customizer...only those you use...cause that will eat up a **** load of your stuff...btw i have both ultimate launch and ifonz installed on sd card with no issues..

I load all my cabs to my sd card but install my programs to the device and i have about 20 or so installed. When i reset im at 19-20 and then i drop to 16-17 i dont drop below 14 unless i have more than 4 apps open then i dropped to 7 when i close then hit oxios i get bask to 16 range. Battery life is awesome as i previously stated and either big jew or broSKi said you can go days on one charge. This is by far the best rom out there. Thanks again kaos

not always true....yes and no i agree...but what you have to remember is after boot up device loads programs on device then sd card that order...it doesn't necessarily mean after up and running that installed to device would be faster....my 8gb sdhc loads programs just as fast as the device....i have about almost 100 programs installed to my sd if not more if you wanna count the tweak programs i use...some include ifonz and ultimate launcher....only thing really on my device is htc customizer and htc home besides the rom it self.
