WM 6.1 For Your Vogue AKA Sprint Touch

This is the thread for nueROM-V, based on WM 6.1 Official Release.

NOTE: This is beta quality software. WM6.1 isn't as cool as some people make it out to be, and pretty much the only really interesting feature in threaded SMS. Still, if you would like to take a look, flash on ahead. THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. FLASHING THIS ROM MAY/WILL RUIN YOUR DEVICE.

-Based on the latest Vogue OEM rom
-Clean (thanks to jakdillard for the clean OEM)
*(103) ROM now clean
*(103) fixed dialpad issues
*(104) In sync with titan build 5025
*(105) Updated to WM6.1 official, in sync with titan build 5036
*(106) Updated with WM6.1 official XIP,in sync with titan build 5038.
*(107) Fixed encryption issue. If you were running build 106, please backup your microSD before flashing a new build.

Use baseKit-V 107 to insert files into your kitchen, packages I build into rom are located in packages. Windows live is provided in SYS_OPTIONAL if you use windows live. IMPORTANT! You must download the regular rom too and extract os.nb from the nbh to build or else you will be using the wrong XIP!

I will not be able to support this rom as fully as my titan rom because I don't have a vogue. Therefore, I have never tested this rom myself. However, some people claim it does work...

**Known issues:
GMAIL users are forced to use POP3 Email due to auto-detection EDIT: OmegaX posted a fix - misspell gmail and fix it later.

Just a quick question..if i ran the unlocker flashed with windows 6.1 and reflash with OEM rom will my phone still be unlocked for future use?

it wont flash stock rom unlocked...and if by some chance it allows you.you will have issues.

bro no need to double post we will get to you when we have a chance, as he said above and i told you in the other thread all you have to do is relock your phone with the vogue relocker and than you iwll be fine.

I have the Vogue Unlocker, so Im wondering if that will relock it.
Just incase I ever need to relock and flash with Stock OEM Rom

I'm using a similar ROM to this one the OMJ.WM6.1.v7.UC build 19716 pretty good for Newbies like me.

no there different one locks and one relocks..... pretty explanatory there.... and yes the relocker will lock so you can flash back to a stock rom if needed. also updating this thread right now with the newest version of this rom....

I just flashed with a Sprint Stock ROM and didn't need an unlocker
But now trying to flash with another ROM and it looks like the phone is locked

right you dont need to unlock for stock roms since they are stock. the only time you need to unlock is when your flashing custom roms.

Yea I thought somebody said here you needed to relock to get Stock rom lol
But yea I had to reunlock just now :)

right if you are flasing stock to stock and never have used custom you dont. but if you had a custom and unlocked your phone you will need to relock to be able to flash a stock rom back over to the phone.

you have to put the nbh file into the RUU. please search in the future since this has been discussed already. you can find the RUU here than once you do that just run the rom update utility.exe.... thanks https://www.wckediden.com/showthread...ghlight=RUU%2A

you do it on your computer not the phone.... this has been said many times bro please read carefully or you shouldnt do this since you can wreck aka brick your phone if you dont do it correctly.

been said so many times whats with you and not searching???!!!!!!
1.unlock the phone using vogue hardspl
2. download the nbh file from the first post.
3. download the RUU Folder
4. add nbh file to RUU folder
5. run Rom Update Utility.exe
6. follow steps
7. DONE.|

Any of you has an update about when the official rom comes out... I am looking for the one with rev a and gps. I tried seacrhing on htc site (read that it was first quarter in some post in this thread) but not luck...

hahahahahahaha nope not even close they talking late 2nd quarter or early third quarter... you will prollt get round 2009 to be honest.

than yur doing summtin wrong. did you use the hardspl vogue unlocker?

my touch is fairly new (as am i at flashing roms) and i decided to flash this rom
i like the threaded sms a lot...thanks for this update
ps. it took me a while to figure out to extract all the ruu stuff to a new folder..that was dumb...oh well a learning experience

too bad there aren't nearly as many roms for the touch as there are for the mogul...and i mean like not even close...but whatever the mogul was/is a bit more than i need in a phone..i just like to tinker around with my touch lol

more will come for the touch when rev gets enabled.

if you flashed to 6.1 and your area has it than yes verizon does support it but not on the stock roms.

so i flashed this but it doesn't have a whole bunch of the programs that came defaulted with my phone like windows live, etc. or did i do something wrong? in any case i'm flashing back to 6.0 if these programs were missing due to my error can you let me know how to fix it?

I meant to ask if the rom that will activate gps and rev a will come out from a service provider(IE Bell (for me) or Sprint) or if it will come out from HTC website and will work on all phones.

And since i am here, i'm gonna kill 2 birds with 1 stone, any chance that if sprint release it, i can have it work on my bell htc touch?

yes oyu can flash it when released and no this doesnt enable either just WM 6.1

at first this rom didn't recognize my signal (with bell) but after a soft reset it works fine + internet is a lot faster, and i now have threaded text messaging...thanks dash

hey guys, im really having problems with this. im up 2 the point where it says update 2 nochem2 and then mi screen has the red,green,blue and white screen. 4 some reason, it doesnt install all the way through. it would pick up an error about the connection, or an error where i would have 2 go through the recovery process. i would appreciate the help...
