SORRY IF THIS IS ALREADY ON HERE, I DONE SEARCH BUT COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING ABOUT IT! Hey guys, Im sorta new to the whole world of PPC's but Im getting the hang of things quickly...I just have a problem that I can't figure out and Im sure that some reg edits will do that trick, but not sure what to change and what to change it too.. I have the Sprint Touch(CDMA) and from the homescreen you have a button to access Live Search, well as soon as i done the live search update, of course the path was altered, and now it has no value to me at all, just a dead button... Error = "The file 'Live Search' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try re-installing or restoring this file." If anyone can help me get this situation taken care of it would be GREAT! Thanks alot.

I have done the hard reset option once, and when I did it gets the old version of Live Search back on it, and then will ask me if I want to update it, I say yes...and it once the upgrade it done it does the exact same thing....With out me doing anything else....
Thats why I thought maybe some changes in the reg could fix it? So the other way of downloading the cab....I mean I still have the cab on my phone from when I done the update....I just re-install it and overwright? See I think what happens is the Live Search is originally placed in the windows folder (if thats where you say it would have been deleted out of, then I will believe you cause you know alot more about it then me), and then when you do the update for it, it places it at: \my device\Program Files\Live Search\Livesearch.exe So the button on the homescreen is still pathed for the exe in the windows folder....Isn't there just a way to change the path of the button, or is it not that easy? |
