WIMP - Where Is My Phone v. 1.3.0.0
Requirements: Windows Mobile 5 or 6 Phone, Internal GPS (it will work with an external GPS device, but obviously only when connected)
Overview: In the event of your phone being lost or stolen, you can simply send a specially formatted SMS text message to the phone and the W.I.M.P software will silently intercept it. W.I.M.P. will then send back a message containing the phone's GPS location in a format which can be entered into any common mapping application.

OK - so someone steals your phone. What is the first thing they're going to do? Change the SIM card right? The W.I.M.P. application will automatically detect a change in the SIM card and send you a text message containing the new number. You can then use that number to track the device's location or even ring the phone!

W.I.M.P. will always run covertly in the background, it will even automatically start when you reset the phone ensuring it is always protected.

Features
* Runs silently and covertly in the background. It doesn't even show in the list of running programs.
* Will send your phone's GPS coordinates via text message, allowing you to accurately track your phone's location using any common mapping application (e.g. http://maps.google.com)
* If the SIM card is replaced on the phone, it will automatically send a text message informing you of the new number

no, as discussed before if it doesnt say part 1 part 2 at the end or in th instructions on the post (1st) the rest of them are mirrors..... parts willl all be through the same file upload service also not different ones.... so all you need is one of them.

dont think if the phone is off... im pretty sure that this works off of the police gps tracking like if you were to call 911 and couldnt talk they would still be able to find you.

i installed the cab file, but after install, nothing happens. i read the manual that the website provides, it says there is some kind of icon suppose to be in the bottom right, it's never there. any suggestions?

This looks like a great program. You could report your phone stolen, then receive one through insurances and find your phone. Then you could just use it for modding. lol

have oyu tried to soft reset after install?

tried a soft reset, and a hard reset. i even tried downloading the 10 day trial and was then going to apply the crack. emailed customer support for help with the "trial" and no response from them. you think it could it be conflicting with any of the other files that i installed? has anyone else tried this program besides D/\SH and gotten it to work successfully?

i havent used myself but others have without problem and it could be conflicting with summtin but should still show.

you install just like any other file

I tryed that i download to computer than i drag it to the memory card and then double click on it from memory card and it says there is no app associated with wimp. run the app first, then open this file from within the app. it does look like the rest of the cabs andzip file that i usally install.

lol i dont know if your out searching for dead links or your downloading the files and come across dead links and your reporting it but the other links work fine and dash doesnt have time to re up evrylink thats why he puts more then one link to the apps.

Redman: are you trying to double click it from on the computer itself, or just on the phone? Because I believe if you double click the file with your computer (even if you are double clicking the file that is actually stored on the phone), you will still be trying to run with your computer rather than your phone, which will not work.

i've been going back and forth with this company about getting a proper fix for the mogul. here's some of the back and forth emails. so far still no fix.

WORKING FIX!!!!

It is a few feet off. I tried it while at work and sitting in one spot. It came back less than 50 feet off where I am located.

I first used resco registry editor to delete all traces of WIMP Software on my phone. Soft reset, reinstalled new software. Did another soft reset again before entering the program at all. Setup my 4 digit pin code and saved. Sent myself a test text message from my own phone and got a response in less than 10 minutes.

When you send a text message, you should receive a text back within 10 minutes.


When you insert the link into a web browser google maps will come up and have your location.


After you have gotten it to work, use the keygen. Enter the DeviceID where it asks for the IMEI number. The DeviceID can be found on the main wimp setup page.

i think you have to make your own pin number like an passcode but im not sure since i have never used this or installed this. try entering an pin number you would remember and see what happens

default pin is 0000. once inside the program you can change your pin to whatever you want.

thanks and hahaha i must be either blind or tired cuz i couldnt see where to change the pin at first but it was right there in front of me. lol duh! hahaha.

if you read it you read it wrong because it says. it tells you what to send and how and yes from another phone. it sends you an link and than you enter it into that google maps link that was listed in this thread.

and for the guys asking about the keygen enter the deviceID number into the keygen that number is on the settings screen of the app you

put that where it says IMIE then you genarate. and thats the activation number.
