as i said above go to program files and you will see it. doublew click on it and it will say successful. soft reset and than you will see external rom form the file explorer open this up and run the cabs that you need.

i ran the 3.16 and got the 3.16 firmware it customizes there ok.
they i opened the ruu folder and ran the update thing
then it brings me to wm 6.1 were i tap the screen again and all set the time
but it never customizes to sprint here
so can you tell me if i did nayhting wrong

i said that exactly above. those are the sprint customization just run the ones you want or all of them.

The "Windows Live" services are removed in all the ROMS I've installed so far for the Mogul except the RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3[1].16.651.0_435009_RS3_27_00_SPCS_NV124.exe
I can no longer do free push email on my Hotmail account without it.
It comes standard in Windows Mobile 6, but everyone is soo quick to remove it.
I suppose no one knows how useful it really is.

I have scoured the forums and the internet for a supplemental install cab or a method to remove/extract from an existing ROM install to put it in your new WM6.1 which I really like by the way, thank you for providing.

The only thing I can find is a Beta Cab which no longer works for WM6 or higher, will not install.

Could someone possibly point me in the direction of instructions for extracting the necessary application files & registry entries so I can copy them over or even make my own cab or ROM. (Getting brave here)

look through the thread on the page beofre this or the one before that. there is a link for the external rom unlocler so you can get and use the sprint customizations.

the link i posted earlier in this thread isnt the external unlocker.It is the actual external all unlocked.Its a direct copy from my mogul.All the cabs are all ready inside the file.just put it on your phone.open it and run the cabs.there it is.Very simple.I had the unlocker just cant remember what i did with her. but you dont need it cause i already done did it for you all.:yahoo:

After flashing my mogul with the 6.1 rom. I couldn't Send/Receive phone calls or texts. I called Sprint tech support and fixed my EPST settings. Now the only thing not working is my internet. Sprint told me that the reason for this is they cant recognize my phone because of the "leaked" rom i am using. Is there any way to fix this without flashing to a different rom?

mine worked fine but do a quick search for pie* plus and use that browser and you should be fine.

I've actually done that before but "Windows Live" is not a Sprint customization, it's part of the base Windows Mobile 6 Pro/Standard installation and almost all carriers remove it.

I might just have to suck it up and do without it. But for now I'm still searching. If anyone comes across it or remembers a place with info on how to reinstall it.. please let me know.

** UPDATE **

Thanks for everyone's help I found a reinstall cab for Windows Live.

I installed pie* plus, great looking program by the way, Still no luck. my browser still says "Error the requested Url could not be retrieved. Invalid URL" any other ideas? Could there be any other additional EPST settings needing adjustment?

call sprint what i had to do was install all the sprint external rom cabs and that helped (i had to do that for 6.0) when i installed 6.0 it worked fine but try calling sprint and asking them what to do (dont tell them you have 6.1 or they wont support you)

wow read the thread. im sorry im getting pissed but has been said before run the RUU rom upgrade utility exe its the only one that runs on the computer common sense there and you would ahve known if you read this thread and nt just skipped asnd asked the same question that ewas already posted.

when i do the extended rom
i can install the 1st 4
then wen i get to
iota_1128 it tells me i have to uninstall the other customization one
it says the same thing for the rest of them

make sure your bootloader is in the correct mode. try to reunlock your phone and than reflash to a different rom. and if your stuck on the splash screen like that you prolly dont have a radio installed so find the 3.27 radio and install that and see if that fixes the problem for you.

yes it will. use the unlock tool and than once you do that to unlock the bootloader flash it over and you will be straight.

It looked like everything was going fine... When flashing, The progress bar went all the way across.. But then after rebooting itself, the alltel sign comes up in the middle of the screen with a white background, and it's frozen there... It doesn't do anything, now... What do I do??

Nevermind... I did a hard reset, and my phone still comes up to the Alltel sign in the middle of the screen with a white background... It's just frozen there.. I wish that I could reflash the ROM, but I can't even sync up to my computer... Is my phone done for???

calm down and give us a chance to respond to you. hold the camera button and the powe button down while soft resetting and than you will go to bootloader mode and will be straigt to flash. the reason your at the alltel sign is because you need the radio 3.27 which can be found here by doing a quick search or loking under the other mogul rev a rom threads for the different versions.

Okay, I stumbled on this thread and saw it's 9 pages long. I didn't want to wade through all of the pages and confuse myself so I'm hoping I can get a quick concise response.

I'm new to the PPC-6800. I just bought one and I want to upgrade it to WM 6.1 w/ Rev A. It's completely factory original.

Is there a write up or FAQ to do a step-by-step upgrade? The reason I ask is because I'm reading responses where people are instructing others to upgrade to "xxx" then do this and that etc. And I got confused as to whether that applied to me also or if it was specifically just for them. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I read your instructions on how to install the Rom but I cant get past 1. I run the unlocker and it does what it does, it tells me unplug then plug it back in all that, then the RUU runs and it goes to 100%. but it stays at the colored screen and it doesnt move from there.

Please please please, give us noobies a step by step baby explanation on how to go about flashing to this new Rom that all you experts are using. I do step one but I dont know how to do the rest. I dont know about RAR and how to use them so like me and the guy uptop asked baby instructions would be good, or a better idea would be a video on youtube of you installing it step by step would clear all us noobies air. Its late and im tires so I guess I have to go to bed with my phones rainbow screen on hahaha

lol i will do when the official drops but i dont ahve the time to spend over an hour puttign everything back onto my phone. you get it in th eunlcok and than the rainbow/bootloader screen appears and than once that does all you do is drop the nbh file into the ruu folder and run the rom upgrade utility and than follow the instructions and your done.

so we simply click and drag the nbh file into the ruu folder? my question is where is the rom upgrade utility how do i open the rar file(using what program).i try to drag the nbh file but it doesnt let me drag it anywhere else and when i double click on the ruu it says "windows cannot open do u want us to find a program online" please bare with me dash im just lost and i did searches and cant get any responses from anybody my fone is stuck on da rainbow screen as we speak and i got micro economics class at 11am. guide me brother a little bit more details...ppsgeeks i heard had a good breakdown but their site isnt workin.

this has been discussed in the help desk area under th noobsection y... you need a program like winrar to bebale to do that.

I am stuck on the bootload screen. the red, green, blue and white one. my activesync will not work anymore. it will not even connect at all. i tried the process listed on the page but syill nothing works also the link posted on the page will not work for me either. if you could help I would appreciate it.

just connect the usb and dont pay attention to whether it says you are connected and not and flash the rom asthe directions say and you will be golden.

Hello all...can someone tell me whether or not this will work with verizon's xv6800. and if someone has the time could they also explain some of the benefits of upgrading to a new rom...I know its similar to a new operating sytem on a home pc, but is it going to help my ppc as far as memory or speed? What exactly will this improve on my phone, that is, if it can even be used on my xv6800...thanks in advance
