How to save phone contacts

Im wanting to upgrade to wm 6.1 and wanting to save my contacts first but dont know how.
I tried using swcked backup but everytime i would use it it would do nothing for tens of minutes.
Is there a way to back up my contacts before going to 6.1?

if you have outlook installed on the pc you sync with it should go...Open outlook up select contacts.If their all there in place.you will be fine.

next time please do a quick search before posting since this has been discussed before. i use mail2web. (i wrote a tutorial you can find here by doing a quick search for direct push email) than after flash or hard reset all you do is set up the email account and than you have all your contacts emails appointments and you calender transferred over to your new rom instantly within seconds. this even works on multiple phones and different ones. best way to do it and the direct push email is awesome.

is the only way to go to sprint store?

bro these are the nest ways you can save just contacts and restore through the email.
