ThrottleLauncher 0.9.2 Beta Freeware
Requirements: * WM 5.0, WM 6.0, WM 6.1
* NET.CF 2.0 (3.5 strongly recomended)
* 200 Mhz CPU recomended. (The higer the better )
* SD instalation is supported but installing to device will make it work faster.
* 800 KB free space.
* QVGA display

Overview: ThrottleLauncher is a launcher app designed for Windows Mobile 5 and 6 in c# and c++. Basically it consist's of several pages containing rows. Each of the rows depending of it contents can be scrolled horizontally by using the finger. The app is fully configurable through xml files so the rest of the features depends on the diferent setups. By installing the 0.9.1 Beta the ThrottleLauncher will look like the new HTC Touch Diamond TouchFlo3D -> Manila UI . It is no 100% Manila-copy but it is a fast working Manila look-alike for QVGA devices.


The rows can contain several type of items:
* icons: can execute any program or link.
* clock: analog clock.
* text: can be updated periodically and can contain dinamic dates or registry values.
* photo dialer: you can place contacts with asociated photos on a row.
* running and recent apps: all running and recent apps can be shown inside a row.

I'm not sure if I over looked the answer to this question but in order to get the weather tab to actually display the forecast do I have to install some type of weather application?

yes your choice of any weatherpanel or swcked weather works fine!

ok.. and does the same go for the music tab because I have Sp2 on my phone but when I try to use the music tab and press play nothing is happening

go to the settings tab, press touchflo 3d, go to the music page, and choose s2p as the player controlled by that page

save and reload the plugin

ok i have the music part figured out but the weather isn't working. now when i select the weather tab it doesn't even go to the screen it stays on the home section or go to another tab (i.e. internet). Also, last ? with mail tab is it possible to set it up to use something other than outlook?

hmmm the weather tab issue is strange, go to the config and make sure you have that page active, and the email page can be switched by changing the account name in the settings to the one you would like to appear

im not exactly sure what you mean when you say "active" if your talking about do i have weather selected in the general configurations the answer is yes, but under the weather configurations the "icon action space does not have anything in it" (i tried putting the weather panel .exe file here but it did not do anything still), the location area is empty, autounload and autoupdate are not checked and weatherpanel is not checked in the plugin section

You convince me to give this a try and so far - pretty good, although I am not paying much attention at the moment to the usage issue since this is nice so far.
Just a couple of questions if I may...
One problem I can not seem to figure out - is the scrolling issue. I am not able to scroll side to side anywhere other than the settings. Have I over looked something?

and when I reply to my text messages I am going through the standard messaging, is there a way I can have the replies go through vito sms chat which I have been using?

U can assign VITO as your text message program instead of the diamond style. But not just for replies. to that just go to the settings and touchflo3d.
Then find the SMS tab
and for icon action and find the exe for VITO.

i use it as well but i just assigned VITO to my mail button
that way i still have threaded texts but i can see my incoming messages through the launcher...

I'm trying to do the same thing with VITO. I changed my icon action to the vito exe file, but what do I change the icon params and the sms account to?

also I was wondering if anyone could help me map my yahoo account to the mail tab, because the default is outlook, and I don't use it.

hey Kaos,

on ur original post of 7-6-08 u recommend to use .NET cf 3.5, but i can only find 2.0. would it make a noticeble difference if i use the minimum 2.0 instead of the 3.5 for the launcher??
