WM 6.1 For Your Mogul With Rev A

Please follow these directions exactly and you will have no troubles.

1. run the hard spl unlocker to unlock the bootloader. (exe file)
2. extract the nbh file from the nue rom 2.0 zip
3. drag the nbh from the step above and place in the RUU folder
4. run the exe file in the ruu file and follow the steps.
5. enjoy WM 6.1 on your mogul

oh man i think im pretty fucked haha

ive been calling today and ive spent about two hours talking to like 3 people and they all told me to do these steps were i go to settings phone internet and check that and it never worked they told me i would have to hard reset my phone


i called and got my phone activated last night and my data and stuff does not work... but they never told me my msd code today so yeah =\\

ask them for it say that you flashed to the upgraded STOCK rom off their site and your missing all th info now and you need it... and tell them te steps that you have been through and you read tat you need the msd and all to your phone so you can gt it up and runing again.

yeah every person i talked to told me to told me to hard reset but im sure there is an easier way...

all you need to ask for is to activate your phone and you wnt to make sure all the stuff is correct so ask them to provide you with the msl number and all the other stuff that you need to gt the phone up and workng correctly... tey will know what you are talkin bout.

Yeah i activated my phone last night and today the internet doesn't work or any date...

it connects with no error and then gets stuck on like the locating thing and then never advances and just gets a time out error...

im gonna have to sy to do a hard reset. after every flash it is a good idea to do a hard reset. tigerz hadthis problem and had to do the same thing..... talking to him right now and he thoks thts the only fix.

so now the problem i just discovered... my phone is stuck in 1x mode...

huh maby it was a bad flash and all. try to reflash the phone.

ok... since I have this rom on rite now... step by step i run

1. hard spl mfg.exe

2.romupdateutility.exe with ruu_signed.nbh in the same folder as the romupdateutility.exe

all you have to do id tunn the RUU.exe with the nbh in the ame folder like you did the first time.

naw i ran the dcd and we have it posted here from xda where dcd resigns but there is major encryption issues that casues the phone to freeze and he isnt udating because he is doing a kitchen for the roms..... your choice but i tried gong that route and is horrible n deven he sayd in the post over at xda that he wouldnt rcommend going with this rom.

Dash, if his problem is getting his phone to get evdo then he has to go to file explorer/extended rom/and run the iota cab in there and install it in device. It worked for me because i had the same problem.

correct good call im trying to mess with sprint customer service and forgot to add that part great ctch and thanks for the input and help... to get the iota cab you have to unlock the external rom.

hey dash after installing this update seems like im texting alot more lol, but it seems like my buttons on the slide out keyboard is messing up on me. the function,period,caps,enter buttons arent working properly, i have to press extra hard and it suks b.c I text real fast and i have to go back and edit. well my question is I wanna take it to get fixed at the sprint store and yes I have insurance, should I go back to the old stock rom? i kno im off topic my bad

naw yur straight and good question. YES GO BACK TO THE STOCK ROM OTHERWISE YOUR WARRANT IS VOID!!!! the keyboard response would be caused due to the rom.

If someone could do me a huge favor, ever since I updated my radio about two weeks ago to update to Rev A and GPS on my Sprint Mogul I cant seem to download various programs online from my phone like Windows Live Search and Apple Quicktime (on my laptop with phone as a modem in Windows or Mac os.)

Here is the test.
Try to download on a Sprint Mogul with Rev A and GPS the Windows Live Search on http://m.live.com , click "download interactive maps", you dont need to install it, just see if it downloads. I've tried it from my phone and the download stops downloading at about 1/10th of the way.

I'm wondering if this is a problem with the Rev A GPS hack, the Radio update, or if its just plain Sprints network.

I get the same thing with Quicktime download on any computer using my phone as a modem in Windows and the Mac. I can download these same items on another wireless network with the same computer, just not using my phone or from my phone.

I've tried all the various Rev A / GPS roms downloaded here and all have the same problem. I have a feeling I need to downgrade my radio version from 3.27 to the earlier one. Is there a way to revert my radio firmware to the Sprint provided version. I am currently downloading the ROM on the HTC site to see if it will work afterward but im not sure if it will downgrade my radio version.

yes it wil downgrade your radio but youhave to relock your phone... and for the rev a roms you need the 3.27 radio. and for the downloads part im running the 6.1 rev a rom and downloaded without any problems.

I installed the Latest HTC ROM release 2.17.651.0 and it resolved all my download problems immediately. But then the stupid phone wouldn't power the screen back on once the backlight went out. I'm not too worried about that problem, I'd rather deal with download issues, So I went back the the WM6.1 Rev A /GPS ROM.

This download problem with my Mogul and WM6.1 w/Rev A and GPS is the last problem I have to fix. I thought it might be a problem with EVDO/Sprint Provisioning, but I did run the IOTA in the extended ROM and it didnt seem to do anything. I verified that my network configuration is the same as the working HTC ROM. I just can't figure this one out. Well it is a test ROM anyway, I might just have to live with it for a few more weeks.

It will be just my luck as soon as I fix it HTC/Sprint will probably release an official ROM.

I was wondering if you could tell me where to get the same program that makes the text stay in convo mode. and now that i use the official sprint release that stupid sound when the text is sent is back. How can I get that sound gone as well?

you can change the sounds by going to start/settings/personal.sounds and notifications/ and than change it.

ok dash i have read this thread 6 times now and tried to update my phone about a 100 times but every time i get stuck on the colorful screen.

when they say disconnect ur device they mean by un pluging the usb or whatand my activesync is desconnected does it need to be connected still.

im running xp and yeah im a total noob :)

look at my signature and as discussed before all you have to do is plug it in and make sure the phone says usb and than you can flash over it just doesnt read through activesync on your computer but still transfers.

that because you didnt flash to the right radio first. you have to install the 3.35 radio and than flash over to the 6.1 custom rom of your choice. so now you are going to have to manually place your phone in bootloader and than once you do that by pressing and holding the power and camera buttons and soft resettign just flash the 3.35 radio that you can find by doing a search on the site.

yes but there are newer versions out search for nuerom and than you want build 5060. also to learn how to do it look at my signature. you will need to flash the stock 3.35 sprint rom than WM 6.1

i ran into a prob. trying to do WM6.1 at first i was froze on the rainbow screen but i got that fixed and now im back to WM6 because i couldnt get 6.1 to work. So now everything is fine accept when the device goes into sleep mode it wont wake up or if i hit the power button on the side i cant get it to wake up any help would be aprreciated...

when you went back to the 6.0 sprint rom did you remember to relock your device? if not that would be causing the problem.

Im not sure I follow what your saying. I wasnt able to get 6.1 on the device. I got the boot screen up and thats as far as i got. so then i did a little searching and found a solution on ppcgeeks I had to download a file called Vista RUU or somthing like that then ran the .exe file and it put it back to 6.0 thats all i did so no i probly didnt relock the device. how would i go about that..

Same thing happend to my mogul whe I was a noob, I forgot to relock and it wouldnt wake up when i pressed any keys, Search for Relocker, download it and then run it while you have your device connected thru active sync. that should relock your phone back to stock and run sprints 3.35 radio b/c I heard if you flash back to the older rom that iit can damage your radio.

yup you will want titan relocking tool and thats only if you flash back to the 2.17 rom not the 3.35 gps rom.

This is the first time I attempted to flash my device. when you say 3.35 gps rom. does that give you gps for the mogul? if so i would like to go that route. is that harder to do? or would i have to use a different relocker? yes 3.35 is sprints stock rom which enables the gps and rev a, and it isnt hard at all. being that you ran the unlocker you have to run the relocker, just look on dashs sig where it says need to know how to flash and it will tell you how to in baby language

ok dash maybe u can help i post a new thread about my sound not working thought it was the apps but i hard reset and then it still did it so i went back to stock rom and it fixed it so i reflashed it back to 6.1 and the sound stopped and now i went back to stock it works maybe u can help. i was t hinking it might have something to do with the extended rom but i dont know maybe u can help out Big Jew has been trying to help me but its not the apps its 6.1 for some reason

ok if you ran this rom that might be why, this rom is out dated and the radio was a beta. If you flash to a new rom like kaos rom take 2 then maybe you wont have that problem.

ok, also make sure after u flash that you take battery out for 1 minute and hard reset after you flash to any rom.

did oyu make sure that you ran the iota cab in the extended rom folder under file explorer.
