Samsung may have delayed One UI 9.0 release for Galaxy S23 FE

While Samsung delayed the global rollout of the stable version of One UI 9.0 (Android 17) for the Galaxy S26 series twice, the update finally arrived yesterday. However, it looks like those weren’t the only phones affected by a delay, as the Galaxy S23 FE also appears to be a victim.



In its press release about the stable One UI 9.0 rollout, Samsung Thailand had initially stated that it would bring the new software to the Galaxy S23 FE in October. However, the company seems to have changed the timeframe to “later this year” (via @A2ZTechX).



Yes, October is technically later this year. However, removing the specific month strongly suggests that the South Korean tech giant may no longer be ready to release One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy S23 FE in October, potentially indicating a delay.



While it is possible that the change in timeframe is limited to Thailand, rollout delays announced by one region can sometimes reflect a broader change in Samsung’s release schedule. We hope that Samsung clarifies the matter soon.
