AT&T is buying $3 billion worth of fibre optic cables from Corning

Today, AT&T has signed a new multi-year deal with Corning to purchase fibre optic cables. The deal is valued at more than $3 billion, and will help AT&T reach its stated goal of connecting 60 million homes and businesses with fibre optic cables by 2030.The carrier has already reached 30 million locations, so half of that, in June this year, six months ahead of its initial schedule.
