StarROM 20 (The New Beginning) WM 65 5221222
Supporter Last Online: Nov 2009
![]() :headbang:2.0:headbang:[/CENTER] Whats new in 2.0 -StarROM.tsk - custom task & softkey bar in all app (check it out) -Finger Keyboard as default (but still has black ezinput) -6.5 taskbar icons -htc calculator now works in Titanium Version -All Manila bugs are worked out and boy its SMOOTH! (g-alarm to be pathched in next release) - but world clock is disabled -fixed Tachi Volume Control with Sys or Ring Volume seperate or combined -Nue KeyboardLight 1.7 -Nue NullKeyboard for lanscape -Nue GPSSecurity -Nue FastCharge battery.dll Enjoy!!! StarROM 2.0 2.0m - Tf3d2 2.0t - Titanium Bugs: Comm Manager Skin is messed. Install This - CommManager Fix HTC Calculator link on the start menu doesnt work ( found a fix ) Solution: htcCalculator was already installed, the issue was only that the link on the start menu was not connected to the actual program. So you just go to Device/Windows and scroll until you see htcCalculator in there. After that hold down on it and copy. Navigate to Device/Windows/Start Menu/Programs and delete the HTC Calculator shortcut that is already there. Then just paste shortcut and if you want you can rename the shortcut to HTC Calculator instead of htcCalculator. Windows Media Player link on start menu doesnt work ( found a fix ) Solution: The same procedure as 1 except the file you are looking for in Device/Windows is wmplayer and you can delete Windows Media shortcut from Device/Windows/Start Menu/Programs and then paste this one and rename it to Windows Media. If Opera 9.5 Beta is closed using the x button in the upper right instead of using Menu > exit > ok the widgets menu comes up and you cant reopen Opera without either a soft reset or using a dask manager to end the opera9.exe process. Solution: The only fix for this is using the Menu > Exit > ok instead of the x there isnt a fix that i have found other than that. The default lock option is not 6.5 default; it is the old device lock from 6.1 ( found the fix.. this may have been outlined somewhere and I overlooked it ) Solution: If you go to Start > Settings > Lock > Display Tab > change to windows default instead of windows classic and it will be the 6.5 lock press ok and you'll be all set. I won't be held responsible for anything you do to your phone!!!!!!!!! Thanks to all of PPC Geeks for giving us geeks something to do. put what on the phone? the rom? if so no you will have to take a look at ym signature below and follow the flashing guide and you need to unlock your device also.... you can find a video tutorial made on flashing the diamondand touch pro in the tutorials area as well.

I have that page pulled up 1.download the ruu.zip attachment
2.unzip to your desktop 3.then in the newly created RUU directory add the rom of your choice - (copy the RUU_Signed.nbh to desktop\RUU) 4.Place phone in bootloader mode (power button while holding volume down button) 5.open the ROMUpdateUtility.exe 6.follow the RUU on screen instructions from there I do not see a nbh file it is a rar file and when I click on it, it will not let me extract it and yes I do have win rar and win zip on my computer. |

Alright, been running this for about a week and it's going pretty good. Speed is good, no lockups, pretty impressive.
Having said that.....I've ran into these 3 issues. 1. While in call, my buttons are....missingish? It looks like this: ![]() 2. After installing boom blox, I get this message when trying to run it: ![]() 3. I can run opera once. 2nd time I try and run, it acts like it is opening...but doesn't, only the top title bar changes....like this:

you have to go to stasrt/settings/personal/input and turn off predictive text under second tab on bottom and than you can also go to regular compact qwerty keyboard instead of fng keyboard and make sure not on t-9

i can turn it off for fng keyboard and comp qwery, but not on the "phone keyboard" i go to word completion (second tab) and nothing is checked. i tried to check the "suggested words" box, than texted, than unchecked the box, then texted again but no change???

I still have 100% battery after 12 hours this cant be right, may never have to charge again haha.
I was wondering if there is anyway to have visual voice mail and have it to where you can scroll through it on titanium like you can do with all the other tabs in titanium. --------- New Post Merged on 11/6/2009 at 10:33:34 -------- Just got a text with battery showing a hundred percent and it shut down. Going to charge battery up and see what happens, Ill reflash one more time. Last edited by smw; 06-11-2009 at 10:33 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

ok, I've read through this ENTIRE thread, and maybe I'm missing it, and this maybe a stupid question, but I'm getting a TP in a few days, and I'm doing my homework in advance...........
where are the Carrier Cabs for this ROM? and I assume as with all the other roms there are a couple, in order to make the MMS work? Thanks for all your reviews guys, seems this will be the ROM my TP will get!!!!:yahoo: |

Decided to give this ROM a try, but I have a few questions:
1) I downloaded the TF3D version b/c it said that it contained both TF3D and Titanium. Don't know if I'm going to use TF3D much so if I disable it, does that mean the Titanium remains? (not sure I even know what Titanium is). 2) Does this ROM have the .netframe work loaded in? (didnt see it). 3) When I opened COM Manager, my WIFI is greyed out (I did install the Topaz comm_manager cab? Thanks! --------- New Post Merged on 11/6/2009 at 05:55:42 -------- One more thing: the calculator link worked for me, but not the WMPlayer. So when I try to fix it should I copy just the wmplayer file or the WMPlayer.exe file? Last edited by ebuzz; 06-11-2009 at 05:55 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Thanks, but what about the fact that my WiFi and Data connection tabs in the Comm Manager are greyed out, and do I just copy just the wmplayer file or the WMPlayer.exe file?

did you apply the comm manager patch as stated in the first post and throughout the thread? and wm player.exe wwhat are you talking about......

The calculator works fine on the tf3d version but not on the titanium. I found that using titanium it is easier to just use the music tab and not worry about going to the start menu. Its cool that when its playing music you can swipe left or right to cycle through songs.
The whole copy and paste fix didnt work for me so I instead deleted it from start up and just installed the calculator cab and all is well. Not saying it is wrong probably user error but this worked for me. |

sry, but if the question was did I install the fix, I think I did answer that, Yes, I did.

well i also asked if you hard reset and took the battery out after the initial flash, did you try to soft reset after installing the cab file to fix it?

Sry, i guess I never saw that. yes i did take out the battery, and I did the hard reset as well.

well after the installation of the cab did you soft reset....... something like that would need a soft reset for it to take effect. you could also ty a reflash in case it was a bad flash.
#242
OK, I'll give that a try.

Sure will. Just so I'm clear, I do a reflash, remove the battery, install the fix, then soft reset.
About the hard reset after flashing, you know how after the fashing finishes the phone resets, calibrates and goes thru its set up? Well, I assume that you have to let it do all that first, then remove the battery and hard reset, right? |

So you can innterup the setup process after the flash and just remove the battery? BTW there's a pagepool.exe file in the ROM. I assume that runs automatically with the flash and does not have to be run separtely?

U only use that if you want to change the pp setting, but usualy what the rom developer sets it as is good enough... i suggest leaving it alone till u have more experience
#248
pagepool i would wait until you get a little more experience before messing with that.... and for the other after the flash is complete i take the battery out for aminute place it back in and without booting up do a hard reset by pressing and holding the power and volume down buttons while soft resetting with the stylus.
