Kaos's **** Sprint Custom rom Build 420 Take 2

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. THIS IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR THE HTC SPRINT MOGUL.FLASHING THIS ROM MAY/WILL RUIN YOUR DEVICE.

My Rom is based off of nueROM v2.0, build 5060 with some stuff removed some added...all and all very stable...

I updated to the latest official release of WM6.1 from the leaked Kaiser roms. XIP has been ported too, seems like it had some new memory management features too. Enjoy, and let me know if you encounter problems. As a quick test of speed, try going to file explorer and opening the windows directory.

This is a clean rom, so it doesn't have much on it. YOU MUST USE THE NEW BOOTLOADER (Olipro 2.40) for this rom to work.

**Known issues:
GMAIL users are forced to use POP3 Email due to auto-detection (EDIT: Omegax posted a fix: type in gmail wrong and fix it later).
(5050+) = crashes imgfstools on nbmerge. You'll need to manually repair the partition table before using nbmerge.
(5050+) = PLEASE TAKE OUT YOUR BATTERY AND PUT IT BACK IN, THEN HARD RESET AFTER FLASHING. The new partition table requires a full reset.

Please post any requests in this thread and I will try to do my best to accomodate them, provided that it does not involve adding applications to the rom. IF you find out how to fix something, please post it so I can fix it in my next release.

If you are new to flashing, please read this provided by quantumforce1. No, your phone is not a brick if its on the tricolor screen.

You must have radio 3.35 installed on device before flashing..

what???? after u run the hardspl, just choose which rom you want. then open the zip and double click the romupdateutility.exe and you should be good to go. if you want to go back to stock, then relock your phone and then flash back to stock rom 3.35. please see my sig on how to flash

I have this rom with radio 3.37.2 You stated that you must have 3.35, when I tried to get 3.35 it doesn't let it onto my phone. Will that affect the way the system runs? my ROM version is 3.35.NO2.5060 . I'm just really confused why its working when you stated that it has to be 3.35

3.35 is the sprint rom, and that was for sprint phones, i believe 3.37 is the alltel rom so your good to flash to this rom as long as gps and rev a is enabled

LOL..kewl.. i dont get 27mb. I get more like 24-25mb on Hard reset and 19-20mb after soft reset and steady around 17-18mb ...glad you like it and cant wait to see your vid!

yup, i get 19 with this rom, and when i flashed to nu2 5066 i get 25m,and steady at 21 b/c of s2u2 lol

sprint music you can find on the extended rom and for the phone as a modem use wmwifirouter the best way to go and dont have to pay the 40 bucks!!!!

i noticed that windows live isnt built in this rom, what is the best alternative to keep track or my MSN and Messenger?? cuz setting up a new email account in messaging takes me to a site and still cant d/l the app

from what i have seen, pam is about 2x as fast here, pam - 1.5 megs power vision - 800 k ish... thanks for the info on the music store!

ust click the icons up top.............. liek the sound icons and it will come up.

delete the parntership on that you have with activesync now.. there shouldnt be any partnerships.... then connect the phone and create a new one!

ok guys.. i got the rom to work.. and its great btw... gps works lovely.. but i noticed i haven't got phone calls or texts, i realized i cant make or recv calls. Did i install something wrong?

YEA YOU didnt READ for starters. you need to run the IOTA.cab file. Install that then soft reset. You can find that file in the file explorer under ETENDED ROM! Press the thanks button

i installed cab, followed by a soft reset. Still no luck.. When i dial, the operator tells me that i am not authorized. I have no problem going on the web tho.

ok now u have to run it, go to start/settings/personal/phone/services then go highlight internet and press get settings and let it run and then your goldn

did you talk to sprint and ask them if they can activate your phone for you... dont tell thwem that you flashed or anything jsut tell them that you need your phone activated... takes all of 5 minutes.

if that doesnt work then jus press *2 and tell sprint that u switched ur device and that u want to connect it, never tell them you unlocked or flashed

lol.... did you run the file.... if you are able to make calls, put no text or internet. go to Start/settings/personal/phone. INternet setting. get settings. you should see iota running and retireve the internet settings... If this doesnt werk call sprint !

that is because this rom is based off of sprint which does not allow mms! I use alltel and I found that with this rom none of my pic mail hacks worked. im running 5066 with quettes mms alltel hack and it works fine.

actually mms will work if you use the old treo picture mail hack fine on the xv6800.secondly my next rom release will be using alltels radio.so you shouldn't have any issues.Also sprint nav should still work for it.(testing Getting bugs out.)
