It's not hard. You are not following the instructions. When you double click a .RAR file it will open the RAR into a temp folder, and in some cases you can successfully run and install programs from inside the archive. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE TIMES. The pictures that you posted are actually proof that you didn't follow the instructions. Those are not pictures of the contents of a folder. There are pictures of the archive browser WinRAR. The main give-away are the folders with the .. after them. Also error box shows the the file location that ends in temp/Rar$dI33.906/disk1.cab shows that you are trying to work from inside an archived folder.

This is the same trouble you were having with the actually Garmin program last week. You can either rightclick the .rar file and tell it to extract the files or you can double click the file and use the extract to button that WinRAR gives you. Either way, once you actually get the file extracted the installer will be able to see the files. The installer doesn't know how to look inside the RAR for the files it is trying to verify. how bout tapping that thanks button.
