i find it pretty useless honestly. with the array of "good" browsers we already have to choose from, these guys are behind the times. youtube wouldn't play like nadcicle mentioned.. its just a crappy browser imo

+1 on that DrDrew... i tried it out a while back, and as a browser experience it was horrible and thats not even to mention how much of an insane memory hog it was... i'd try running it for les than 5 minutes and it would crash my whole system and cause multiple memory low pop up on myscreen (first and only time I'd even seen those errors on a ppc device) and even after I'd shut down and close the app it'd continue sucking up my ram and system resources... overall it was such a bad experience I'm not even interested in trying this final 'out of beta' version... the version i tried wasnt to long ago and was supposdly in beta stage (i believe final) and its hard for me to see it gettin much better, even with the memory hogging issues solved...

Sorry about my rant... just my op... I was traumatized...lol

i feel your pain brotha. why try to compete with skyfire / opera / opera mini? you better have one helluva game plan to expect anybody to pay for a web browser.. i only say that because they put (still free) like at some point they want to charge... get real LOL

hahahaha ok, i have seen these last replies and everyone pretty much hated this browser (which makes what im gonna say much more fun....) I love it!!! This version is nothing like the shitty last ones, loads pages faster than opera and just as nice, flash works great, i like the page animations, virtual mouse which lets me navigate quite easily with my kardware d-buttons on my kb, and offers the same features as opera mobile like downloading content and multi tabs, BUT there are a couple of things that bother me though. Crappy WM Ui while using this browser, no real full screen feature (cant get rid of the bottom bar), and i cant seem to find the text reformatting option for better reading. other than that, i find it easier and faster to blaze through pages than opera but i wont replace it as my full time browser just yet.... Opera is a monster and only a perfect browser can knock it off its throne in my book. Im keeping this one though

mike, thanks for your review.. i have a real hard time believing you have better luck/perf on this browser then the newest opera mini? talk about fast loading times & a great browser experience.. honestly this iris doesn't hold a candle to even PIE!! imo.. okay that maybe a bit exaggerating but no way its better then any version of opera IMO!!!

skyfire owns it too! thanks for being different tho MIKEY!

haha i getcha bro, but yea i like to try different browsers, interfaces and crap. so i can give you a review on pretty much everything. and you are right, iris wasnt the perfect browser but trust me, this version is a great improvement in the browser (to all their own) i enjoyed mostly the speed compared to opera (i had to disable javascript and plugins and other tweaks to make opera speed decent) and i HATE how skyfire looks on VGA, the only one left is fennec and it doesnt even load pages lmao. In fact, this is the only browser that makes me actually reply threads on my mobile cus its quite easier now

NOt sure if it's because i'm using a HTC Touch but this Iris browser is EXTREMELY slow with loading basic blogs (engadget) after going through a few pages it started complaining about memory.

It's pretty... but compared to Opera it's pretty useless.

Once opera mobile gets the keyboard and flash thing figured out they are done... and even without that they are still #1 i go back and forth between Opera Mobile and Opera Mini -

I only use Skyfire if i need to see flash other than that it's very clunky and needs atleast text wrap so you can zoom and read without having to move around so much.

Maybe i've missed something on Skyfire and Iris but Iris feels like it's in Alpha still, Opera has my vote.
