PocketShield is an intelligent locking/unlocking application. Prevents accidental touch on the phone screen specially when it is turned on not precisely by you.

http://i36.tinypic.com/vfumqc.png http://i40.tinypic.com/5ysz1u.png

Have you ever accidentally ignored an incoming call? Have you ever accidentally answered a call and left the caller 'talking with your pocket'? Have you ever accidentally dismissed reminders or alarms? …or 'never heard of them'? Has your phone ever freezed because of too much 'touch input'? Have you ever had programs mysteriously starting 'by themselves'? Have you ever auto-replied an email or SMS with the text 'dfjhfiv3rvp8ikk' or such?

If you answered 'YES!' for any of the questions above, then this is great news for you!

Features:
• Auto lock, no need to worry about locking, just turn off(sleep) your phone and feel confident.
• Screen auto-unlock when out of pocket, or when light available.
• Screen unlock by sliding finger or stylus from top towards down (vertical sliding rather that horizontal, for improved thumb ergonomics)
• Screen unlock with gestures, by moving the phone two times to the left or right. Sensitivity level is customizable.
•You can combine any of the 3 unlocking mechanisms: light auto-unlock, finger slide unlock, gesture unlock. One of the three must be enabled at least.
• Answer calls by gestures, or by any of the 3 unlocking mechanisms.
• Vibration feedback when you unlock or when phone auto-unlocks.
• Digital clock diplays the time. Digits can be customized.
• Screen shows caller name or number for incoming calls.
• Screen shows missed calls if any.
• Screen shows if a Reminder or Alarm has popped up.
• Subtle but precise battery indicator.
• Visible icons indicating which unlocking mechanisms are active.
• Disable auto unlock with light when doing "Start-->Lock". It is re-enabled after power off and resume. Useful for when you want to have your phone locked while ON, ie while listening music.
• Option(in Settings) to directly power off device when doing "Start-->Lock".
• Auto unlock when stylus is taken out.

Supported devices:
For the moment, it's only available for the HTC Touch Pro (aka Raphael) and HTC Touch Diamond. Not tested on Touch Viva, Touch 3G nor Touch HD!
For PocketShield to function properly, device must have an integrated light sensor and G-sensor(accelerometer).

2/3/09: Version 2.5.0.X:
* Added "HTC Theme" in CAB package.
* Fixed G-Alarm top bar clearance.
* Corrected languages.
* Fixed Settings freezing at 'Application Exceptions'.
* Startup exception when using a 3rd party skin.

PocketShield.v2.5.012.PocketPC.Full.incl.regfile-tsrh

Installation Notes:
Install the app.
Import 'tsrh_pocketshield25012.reg' into registry only your device!
Activate program with any Email and PIN.
Enjoy!

Finally, I can do it. You must add in the registry for RE before run the reg. of pocketshield by following these instructions......

Not only do you need to have this but with Resco Explorer 2007 / 8 you should get but the registry add-in,
it allows you to export, import, view or modify the registry keys. You can download it just get inside of "menu ->OPTIONS -> ADD-Ins

*Choose the "Download Registry Add-in"
Done...

Re: PocketShieldv25012

There is a .reg file in the download. Copy that to your device and click on it. It will import the registry values.
That being said, I got a succesful activation on this, but I am getting the nag screen telling me its a trial version. I might have to go back to the old version again, unless someone has a fix

Thats because you got a successful registry edit but you didnt follow the directions as stated on the rest of my first post that instruct you to go and click that little letter "a" and put in any email address and pin code for it to automatically authenticate.

Re: PocketShieldv25012

i followed all your directions and it wont activate. Why won't it work?

Re: PocketShieldv25012

All the instructions were followed, AND I received a successful activation response. But I am still getting the trial version nag screen.

PocketShield v 2523 Have not tested this yet though

Hey I ran across the new version of PocketShield v 2.5.2.3 download. I have not tried it yet but I am going to give it a download and try it. Will report back when I finally get some free time.

Here is the link:

Code:

Found it on this forum:

Like I said I haven't tried it yet so it may or may not work correctly. Just thought I'd pass it along in case someone else wanted to give it a try before I had a chance. If you do try please report back so we all know.

Oh... I've received plenty of help here on this site and I am just trying to pass it forward. Most of the time though the problem is that when I finally find something, the gurus here have already got it or tried it...hahaha

Hence my sig "Trying to Catch UP".... :training1:

Re: PocketShieldv v253 [updated March 12 2009]

Well I can say that i was having the same issue after importing the reg. It would not let me register. It said:

"Sorry, something went wrong. Please double check your connection, you must be connected to the internet. It is recommended to use a wifi point."

I am no noob, but I got this screen pop-up even when connected to wifi.

The way I activated this was using PHM (you can also use Resco 2008 or TC) and changing the registry as follows:

HCU/Software/PocketShield and changing the value data from 0 to 1
select ok.
Now go back to pocketShield activation screen *Green A* and voila.....Activated!!

Hope this helps any who need.
