I am assuming this version is newer than the one that comes with the TP (2316)??
If so do I just install the cab and will it overwritte the previous version?

when installing it should say that the previous version of opera will be overwritten if you continue. then just hit continue.

for the most part yes. alot of the tp roms of course already have opera baked into the rom and are most likely unrewritable but i have found this to work on the stock rom with opera already in the rom. of course it said that the installation was unsuccessful but after a soft reset after installation it worked beautifully.
