Here is the essential Touch Pro tweaking information I have gathered in the past week from the forums, as well as information contributed by others in this thread.

Tweaks:

• If your device is showing you random issues, such as speaker volume being crappy out of the box, do a hard reset. Some have reported this simple task has solved their problems. You can do this one of two ways: either select clear storage from the system tab in settings (Start->Settings), or power off the device, hold volume down and OK, and hit the power button.
• Add your city to the weather tab. Follow these directions making sure to use the modified copy of version 1.1 of the specificed editor.
• Disable SMS Sent Notification: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settin gs] Set SMSNoSentMsg to 1
• Install the Picture Mail enhancement from Sprint - run PIE, and click "Click here to check for new updates." Then download and install the cab file listed. This will have to be done after every hard reset.
• Disable temperature sensing in WMWifiRouter to get it to allow you to connect. Options->Configuration->Battery->Next->Next->Next->Select "Disable temperature detection"->Next. There is a bug, at least in my version, that shows "Enable temperature detection twice" however selecting the second one disables it.
• Hack Internet Sharing to work: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing] Delete Extension key, set/create MaxCMCon=0 (decimal). [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings] Set ForceCellConnection="Sprint"
• Get S2U2 to work: Make sure you install the VGA version, not the QVGA version. In S2U2 settings, set DisplayMode to RawBuffer.
• Install flip clock if you want it. instructions here
• Get your battery icon with percentages here
• Install new Audiopara for louder volume
• Battery/performance hacks if you're so inclined.
• Get some wallpapers
• Wallpaper on every tab, transparent clocks and curtains. More info here
• Turn it into your most expensive flashlight - Alternate program. Both work, nueLight may or may not work.
• Auto screen rotation with Gyrator 2
• Fit more icons into your programs list with this tweak
• Optimize your music tab by removing the music store logo. Some Touch Pro specific directions.
• Information on how to remove sprint Manila3D customizations and get an HTC Stock configuration here

I know that this is for the Pro, but the registry settings seem the same on the diamond..


I've seen on other threads that deleting the ForceCellConnection key allows you to tether on your vision data by selecting Sprint in the second drop down menu. Would changing the ForceCell value to Sprint do the samething essentially? I mean.. at least by changing the value to Sprint, it saves u time and makes it easier to use wmwifirouter right?

I'm on pdanet...and it SUCKS

what is a gyrator?.. if i download that for the pro... is it going to be like an iphone when you turn it and all that?..

Hey D/\SH, Im trying to edit the registry for the SMS sent notification with the Total Comander, and I just can't find it, can you help please, thanks in advance! ;-)

total commander isnt a registry editing software... try resco registry editor or some other one.... just do a search here for registry editor and you will find one that suites your needs :>

Is the touch pro able to play games like the iphone because of the gyrator?

yes there are games and a thread here with all the games included and updated.... search for gsensor or gyrator or tilt sensor here using the search feature and you iwll find what you are looking for.

You can use diamond tweak to turn off the sent messages notification. worked for me.

Hey Dash. Any tweaks for faster internet on the pro. Tried the mogul ones you posted but no changes on speed test. Looked around and couldn't find anything.

if any one can help me understand this, tht would be great. on the internet sharing fix, what does dash mean when he says: set/create MaxCMCon=0 (decimal). the only thing i dont get is the decimal part. is it like this: 0x0 (0) ? or.0? or0.? thanks in advance guys.

just create the DWORD as stated and imput 0 as the value.

it normally will be treated as a hexidecimal but since the value is 0 then it will automatically be treated as a decimal no you dont need to do anything extra.

thanks bro. now is this the only things i nedd to change in regestry to get the internet sharing to work? only reason i ask is because on the internet sharing fix thread, it shows alot of changes, but here there is only two changes.

i always used the cab to do this so im not really sure

try those two tweaks mentioned, soft reset and check if it worked

okay bro, will do. hey, i thought you said you were getting a pro also? i hope you do bro! now i just gotta wait until i get my labtop back from best buy to try this tweak. on my mogul i just install the cab, but with this phone i guess is different. thanks bro.

yea, supposed to be here today, it was sent on friday but UPS screwed me by not including the weekend in the delivery days even tough the pro was sitting next to my house in the ups station since monday 12:57 am and wouldnt let me pick it up, i have been pissed since monday lol

i did a lot of venting on the beef thread lol

has anyone tried out the battery/performance hacks and gotten good results with it? battery life SUCKS on the TP

yeah i tried it when i was running the stock rom and it worked beautifully...i didn't do any benchmark testing to give you exactly how many hours it added but the difference was definitely noticeable. I use the my phone pretty heavily, if i'm awake the backlight is on and i'm messin with it and i could go a whole day without having to recharge. But the best way to extend your battery life is to flash a custom rom

Can anyone help me with the install of the .rar file that you use for the background 4 all tabs file. I downloaded to my computer but do i just add that to my phone memory card and open it like you would a cab or what. Sorry Im new to this. I also tried to follow the link on this page for the same thing but when i logged on to the other site it said i did not have the privelage to access the page. How do i get access to that page on the forum? thanks in advanced.

yep you definitely need to reed the noob guide first to learn what all the file types are and stuff...but to answer your question, you need to extract the files out of the rar (the noob guide will explain how to do this) and using resco or total commander copy all the files into the windows directory of your phone and choose overwrite if prompted and choose yes if it says that the file is in your rom and overwriting may damage your device. then soft reset and you will be golden
