Phone I have: htc fuze
I am using swcked mobile shell with no issues to date. Have a question about this one. I installed it just like every other cab. Tried to use it and got an error. I then did a soft reboot and tried to use it and got the same error. Here is the error I am getting. Error Message: An unexpected error has occurred in AdvancedConfig.exe. Selext Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information. This application requires a newer version of the Microsoft .NET Compact framework than the version installed on this device. I tried to Quit and open it back up and got same error message. I hit the Details button and this info was shown: AdvancedConfig.exe TypeLoadException This application requires a newer version of the Microsoft .NET Compact framework than the version installed on this device. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you. |
Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33
ok you need to update the .net framework CLICK HERE and that should fix the problem after a soft reset

Installation of NETCFv35.ppc.armv4.cab was unsuccessful. The installation file is not intended for this version of the device. Now I am totally confused on what to do to make my Fuze, supposedly the most advanced of these phones, work with the advanced config tool. Again, any help would be appreciated. Thanks again. |

go to your C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\SDK\CompactFramework and if you have 3.0, then and open up the file look for "WindowsCE" folder once you open that then search for something like "NETCFv30.ppc.armv4.cab" if you see that then you are all good you can use that. hope that helps |

Hi sracercelica, thanks for posting that link, but that is 3.5. If you read this entire thread you will see that I already tried that and my phone wont take that version. So someone suggested that I need 3.0, but can't find that version. Please advise. |

Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33
Dash - I hit the thanks button :) What is the deal with that anyway? I don't understand the thanks button. lol
this file is MASSIVE and way way bigger then any other file I have downloaded yet for my fuze. what do I do with it once it finishes downloading to my computer? Since it is so big I want to make sure I do not mess anything up. Thanks. |
Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33
1st the thanks button is used to say thank you for someone helping you or getting a program they have posted 2 the file will be fine and it's not that big. just make sure you have the sync up and run the program
|
Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33
lol I understand it, just not why everyone is always begging for it to be clicked. Dash and the other people here have been the most helpful of ANY WM sites on the net, and I have donated actual money for the assistance. I guess the thanks are like rep on other sites. I don't see how Dash could have more thanks/rep then he has already, lol.
Once this file finally finishes downloading I will plug the phone in and run it and report back. Thanks again. |
Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33
We thank you for the donations. I know when I see the thanks and install button clicked on the programs I've put up it makes me wanna do more

Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33
OK - I just want to make sure I do this correctly.
1) I downloaded the big file that is called ProgramAddons_DotNetFx_All_In_1_Addon_v2_contiene_ tutti_i_framework_e_patch_ 2) it is a rar file and inside it is a folder called SVCPACK with a big file in it called netfxA10.exe and another file called entries_NetFxA10.ini I have not put this zipped file on my phone, or opened it yet on on my desktop. can you advise on what I should do next to install/run this correctly. |
Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33
open it on your pc

EDIT - maybe something is running, but still do not know what to do next thanks |
Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33
Sorry its a cab file so put it on the sd card and open it thats my fault
|
Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33
I uploaded the exact file that I downloaded from that site called ProgramAddons_DotNetFx_All_In_1_Addon_v2_contiene_ tutti_i_framework_e_patch_ to the same place i upload all cabs. The icon does not look the same as the other cabs and when I click on it I get this message: There is no application associated with ProgramAddons_DotNetFx_All_In_1_Addon_v2_contiene_ tutti_i_framework_e_patch_" . Run the application first, then opn this file from within the application.
I have to say that I am getting very confused and maybe it is just not worth adding the advanced config tool to the htc fuze... |

Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33
Dude you are making this harder than it really is a cab file is a very simple install. just download it to your phone open the cab file and run it and that does all the work for you. Also if you downloaded something from another site then I can't offer support for this. Like I said it's very simple and use the links we posted here and you will be fine and the staff can offer support for this

Have any of you tried this on an AT&T Fuze? Because today I was told by the AT&T advanced htc support person that some of these things may not work based on how these are shipped and operate out of the box. So again, has anyone installed this on an htc fuze from AT&T.... |

Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33
First off - THANK YOU sracercelica.
The file you emailed me WAS NOT the same as any other found in any posts in the other thread. Your file WORKED perfectly and immediately. I compared your file to the others I had downloaded and they were different. Now my Advanced Configuration tool is working perfectly. Thank you again (and I hit the thanks button, lol) --------- New Post Merged on 3/12/2008 at 09:22:13 -------- Dash, is there a thread on this site for ways to use the Advanced Config Tool to make changes that help save battery life. and along those lines is there just a thread that talks about the different things you can di with the adv config tool |

will this program work for the htc touch or just the fuse and diamond?

Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33
The 3.5 file that I downloaded from the MS website is NETCFSetupv5.msi. Is that the correct file that I need to download and once I have the file do I run it using another app or do I just copy it into a folder on my device. Sorry for all the newbie questions.
--------- New Post Merged on 6/12/2008 at 04:04:46 -------- Please disregard my previous post. I didn't read the entire thread. Thanks sracercelica, the link worked like a charm. Thanks and Thanks again. |
Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33
Has anyone had any issuses modding the TouchFlo 3D settings? I can use the ones on the main screen for screen sensitivity and scrolling speeds but when I go into more settings and select TF3D I get an error saying it can't open the TF3D config. The screen comes up after hitting the ok on the error message, but then says the config file can't be saved. Also how do you do the TF3D button mapping with this tool I don't see it anywhere.

Re: Advanced Configuration Tool v33

For the TF3D button mapping use diamond tweak |

Do a search for "touch pro essentials", in that post, there's another link to the latest and most compatible adv config tool... still with that being said, this cab here should work... just dl and install... |
