Couple Questions and a statement (about htc dream)
Okay so i kno im getting the HTC Dream, T-mobile G1 whatever. So as of now for the pre order it and get it before it comes out blah blah tmobile is ripping current customers they say buy it for $179.99 plus upgrade fees and tax so maybe around $200 or a bit higher... I sign in and they giving me for $299.99 plus all the fees and then they making you get either "unlimited" data plan or that and 400 txt messages, its like extra $35. but fine print says "If your total data usage in any billing cycle is more than 1GB, your data throughput for the remainder of that cycle may be reduced to 50 kbps or less" and final price is around $350! So im going to wait until its released and buy it from ebay or something.
so my question is: 1) do i really need a data plan when i got wi-fi? 2) 3g? i need to have data plan to get 3g or i can get where ever? thanks guys... |
Re: Couple Questions and a statement (about htc dream)
q1): you need the data plan if you plan on using your phone outside the area of the wifi hotspot...if you do not purchase the data plan, your carrier will incurr huge fees on your account for every bit of data used, plus (probably) a minutely rate, as well...
q2):3g is the speed capability of the wireless (cellular) network, in order to use this, you will need to purchase the above mentioned data plan...there are different plans, so it's up to you to decide which plan fits your needs... |

i have sprint, so i keep mine at unlimited data, because i'm on my phone all the damn time, lmao... -but as far as i can see sprint offers the best data plan out there...i think i pay $15 for the unlimited package. |
