Disable Cube 101 For Touch (+5 megs of RAM)
 

1. Unzip the Disable Cube.zip and copy the folder Disable Cube in storage card.

2. With Total Commander copy the four exe files from the folder Empty Files in windows folder.

3. With a registry editor in HKLM\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings change EnableCube from 1 in 0 and make a soft reset.


The cube will not function anymore and you will have an extra 6,5 mb memory program memory available.

Attention: After you replace the original files, programs like SKTools and MemMaid may show the files "useless" and prompt you to delete them. DO NOT delete those files. If you do delete them by mistake then just restore the files as described in step 2.

In the Real files folder you can find the original files in order to come back whenever you want. Just copy in windows folder and change again the value in registry.

resco??? mine wont let me replace rom files, is there a setting to do it d/\shy??? thats why i keep the old azz looking total commander

lmao if you have the newest version 7.05 you will not have troubles and it was fixed in 7.03. the thing i noticed is that you cant use the update feature or install over it for it to work.... so if you havent hard reset since 7.02 was installed you will have to do that.

i just used my computer to transfer the files...never even had to touch total commander(use it regularly)...maybe you can try that....

thanks bro ...it works!!!! but one thing when eva i try to slide my fingers upwerds .. a warning came out ...said that this file 'bittouch' cannot be opened .. bla bla bla ..then my phone stuck ..how?

did you change the registry??? it means that the registry change dnt stick and the system stills launches the cube uppon command.

no its not frozen, just press the center button and it goes away

Can someone please help me with step 2? I am using total commander, and I am copying the files from the empty files folder in the storage card, but where exactly do I copy them to? I am assuming that I am supposed to overwrite files with these ones, but which files? I am still learning all of this, so bare with me. I am running the touchflo 2d, and have no need for the cube now. Please help...................

its simple bro, just drop the files from the empty folder to the windows folder in your device and replace the ones already there

That's what I was thinking. Just wasn't sure. When I copy them in total commander and open up the tree, I don't see any files in windows. Just folders. I guess when viewing in total commander, I won't see them?

you dont have to open the windows tree, just select the windows folder

So I am really stuck right now. Sorry, I am a noob. I dropped those files into the windows folder, and I got no overwrite message. They just dropped in. Now, using Registry Editor 0.9, I cannot find HKLM\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings . Also, reading through the threads at XDA, someone posted that touchflo doesn't use .exe files. I want to disable cube and free up memory... Can this be done with vogue?

this is exactly what it does, just open the empty files folder, highlight the four files, extract all four to the root of the windows folder, and overwrite the files... simple bro

no, it should ask you to overwrite... try a soft reset to see if you get an error for biotouch.exe when you try to open the cube. If you get the error, that means that you replaced the files already and you just need the registry hack to get rid of the error

I did a soft reset, and I get the error message. Now where is the registry folder? I am only seeing HKEY folders..............................

are you waiting for a couple minutes after you do the registry change.... sometimes it can take a lil while for the reg edit to stick.
