this is like wmwifi but good for the touch user or the user without wifi on their phone.... it allows you to tether your phone for free..... sp basically run this app and hook your phone up via usb or bluetooth to your lappy and you will have internet on your lappy or computer..... the speeds are amazing and i have been using this since it was released here at Wckediden.... i get dsl speeds if not greater.

When I try unraring this it gives me two errors:

File is corrupt
Unexpected end of archive.

Nevermind, I downloaded again and it unrared fine. However it extracts two files pnanet20 and pdanet20cracked. There is no read me file, am I suppose to install this in some order?

its cracked come on now...... all you do is install the first exe file without the cracked and than you search for the exe file.... when you find it you replace it with the cracked exe.

If I have this installed on my phone-and my friend, who has no internet; if I were to take my phone(HTC Touch) and USB cable to his place and just plug my phone to his computer via USB, will he be able to surf the net? He doesn't need to have activesync or PDANET installed on his computer? thanks


OFF TOPIC-but D/\SH, you are the shiznit dude, and I was wondering what is it I need to do to become VIP, I feel you have done soooo much work and have helped me out a tremendous amount that me joining VIP and contributing a little cash towards the site is the least I can do. (is a rapidshare account still given when joining VIP)...thanks again!

Yeah man the phone has to be activesync'd, but just put the install for activesync and PDAnet on a flash drive and installt hem on his computer before you plug your phone in. Then plug the phone in, activesync will autorun obviously then make sure PDAnet is open on both the PC and the phone and then you can press connect on PDAnet and it will sync up fine.

Simply install PdaNet. Then you can find the folder marked PdaNet (or whatever) doing a search or look under the C:\ in the Program Files folder. After that, you can drag the cracked exe file into it, and double click on it (the cracked exe), then hit patch. PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE PROGRAM IS NOT RUNNING OR ELSE YOU WILL GET AN ERROR!!! If you still get an error, hit exit, then right click on the exe and click run as adminstrator.

Dash I almost didnt hit thanks becuz I was mad u didn't FORCE me to use this before! This is literally 2-3 times faster than using the stock Internet Sharing workaround I posted.

Does it matter which one I use because they have the same files in them?

no they arent the same files one is the regular exe. you install that on your computer while connected to activesync... than once installed you find the pdanet folder installed on your computer and than you place the crack in there..... ethan you double click and apply the patch and you will be golden.

Alright so I installed the file PDANetW20 using the 600kb rar file. Then I put the PdaNew20crk file in the PDAnet folder under program files and I clicked patch when I opened the crack and it went from saying ...Unpatched to ...Error Opening File. Any ideas?

Before I start tethering my a$$ off, what should the settings be?

Settings for PDANet on the phone
PROXY MODE=ENABLED (checked) , and then SPRINT PCS is selected.

Settings for INTERNET SHARING
PC Connection: USB
Network Connection: Phone As Modem

Do the above settings sound right?

And Settings for PDANet on my PC, I right click and then go to SETTINGS; Boost 3G Speed is disabled, should I leave it be or Enable it?

Anyone run into the issue of Error 31, not being able to verify username and password? A friend of mine is running into this issue, He's running a Mogul, Sprint Stock ROM, and Vista.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm using this fine on XP w/ Touch - Sprint Stock ROM. Can't figure out his problem.

Here is the error:
Connecting to your Device...
Connecting to Data Network...
Verifying User Name and Password...
Dialup failed, error=31 (state=5)!

thats because you didnt apply the crack...... be sure to overwrite the original exe with the cracked version .

I was tethering on my Sprint Touch last night and when I got off the internet, I got a bunch of voicemails because people said it went straight to voicemail when they tried calling me...Anyone encounter this? From my understanding calls should still come through when you are on the internet...

mine allows calls and everything no troubles.... dont know why yours wasnt unless the signal strenght was weak.

they are totally different even though they do the same thing...... this is just for the one thats connected via usb while wmwifi makes your phone into a router also.

no this bypasses that charge and they wont have the slightest clue that you are doing so unless you get careless and do a lot of downloading since no one is going to have too high of kb used per a month... so just be careful and dont download anythignt oo large like a movie or anything.

ok im so sorry D/\SH i know i should have this down by now! but for some reason it doesnt let me apply the crack...i did everything in this order...
ran the PDAnetW20.exe
then i dragged the crk.exe onto the PDAnetW20.exe
exited PDAnet..
double clicked the crk.exe
clicked PATCH and it gives me this error "Error opening file"....

any ideas??? thanks in advance!

make sure you look in the lower left taskbar of your machine and close out of pdanet and run as administrator if on vista.

no that shouldnt cause any troubles.... are you sure that you are going to the program files area on your computer and than search for pdanet and click on that... insdie there somewhere you will find an exe file.... take and overwrite the exe file with the crack... (make sure pdanet is closed and not running any trace) than double click and click patch and you should be good.

yupp i do exactly as you say...here's a screen shot...SORRY MY COMPUTER IS IN SPANISH CUZ I HAD TO REPLACE MY HARD DRIVE AND MY COUSIN WHO REPLACED IT SET IT TO SPANISH PERMANENTLY..... :) :( i know its hard to understand it even for me :) but anywho this is what it looks like D/\SH...

no that shouldnt make a difference.... jsut wanted to make sure since if you connect thats going to pop up.... i used this on vista and xp without troubles so i dont understand... do you have the run as administrator option by any chance? if so i would try that and see what that does for you.
