two questions...
 

Not sure if this has been answered before but sometimes my phone transmitter on the mogul will just turn off and I have to go into the com manager to turn it back on. Am I hitting or holding a button accidentally that causes this to happen? Also is there a way to turn on the data conncetion without opening PIE? Any help would be appreciated.

well to answer the first question, what do you mean by transmitter? The second question was about data connection? Yes you can have this running in the background or occasionally. For exmple, SOME apps use data connection continuiously. (PALRINGO, Sprint NAV, Mobi Tv, etc.) You can also set (if you have email set up through outlook) outlook to go and retrieve emails every 5 min or 30min etc. These all use data connection.
