How to Flash Stock Rom with (Video)
 

ok guys to better help you on how to flash a rom you can either read it or watch a brief video.Keep in mind that i don't have another mogul to show you i just ran the exe. file so you can follow thru.

Part 1 Read Me:


General Procedure on Installing the ROM Update

1. Back up your personal data from the Mobile Device to your computer using ActiveSync (Windows Mobile Device Center, if you are running Windows Vista) if you want to ensure you don't lose any of your data. Click here to view detailed instructions on backing up your data using ActiveSync.

2. On your computer, run the ROM Update Utility (RUU) to install the ROM update to your Mobile Device. Click here to view detailed instructions on installing the ROM update.

3. Restore your personal data back to your Mobile Device using ActiveSync (Windows Mobile Device Center, if you are running Windows Vista). (Optional) Click here to view detailed instructions on restoring your data using ActiveSync.

WARNING: During the upgrade process, do not attempt to make/receive calls, press any buttons on your device or disconnect the device from the USB cable as this will stop the update and your device will be rendered inoperable!!!

I should note that I have an Alltel 6800, will that make a difference?

yes when you go to htc.com look for your carrier and download the program from there.Majority of the members here use sprint...but same concept

I think I am now screwed, the screen is red,green,blue and white and it is stuck there. Won't so anything and it won't sync or connect

did you use alltel version??? i hope you didnt try to use the sprint one

wow i wrote one of these already and he can use the sprint as long as he unlocked the phone. heres the link.

and also your not screwed just flash from the bootloader screen and you will be fine.

no need to close you have the written tuts and i have the video for those that can't read...moving it over to rom section i seen that but i added video...to it and it's deal with just stock ones then..

would you have to install Hard SPL before u flash a rom??

if your going to install a custom rom then yes u need to run that in order to unlock youir phone, look in my sig,

Trying to watch part2 (video). i tried ie and firefox... video crashes on firefox and ie doesnt play the video. Is there another link to the video??

im having a problem with flashing. i would get up 2 the point where it would have the progress bar, but then it would say update error, n i would have 2 reset mi phone n start over. is there something that im missing, or something that i 4got 2 do?? thanx...

Ok, I am desperate. I ran the Kaos rom before I ran the 3.35 and now my phone is stuck on the Kaos Screen. Please Help me. What do I do?

go to kaos's rom take 2 thread and the las tpost made in that thread right now says all bout it come on search this has been discussed before and post in the correct areas!!!
