Sprint prepped to launch Samsung SPH-M800
 

Today Mobiledia released the first information and image of the Samsung SPH-M800 for Sprint. It appears to be the US CDMA variant of the F490, as the U940 for Verizon is a variant of the F700. It will have very similar design, candybar with a huge touch display and three buttons on the front side, but it will have different features and specifications. Unfortunately, the 5-megapixel camera is replaced with a standard 2-megapixel one, and most likely the Croix user interface is replaced with one, matching the carrier's phones. Currently there are only a few details about the phone, including EV-DO support, Stereo Bluetooth and GPS. We will update you once there is more information.

yeah read about this the other day...its supposed to be real easy to use and everything i hope they learn from a few issues with the touch and i hope they include wifi cause that could really be a deciding factor in this phone.

for sure i read rev a capable of course but is the phone supposed to be windows mobile or is it going to be a knock off like the new voyager. thats the only question i had bout the phone that i didnt find the answer for.

yae same its a real sleek looking phone i wonder the damensions tho and what the screen size is cause it look hells long like the iphone

i believe its the size of the iphone and i think its actually supposed to be a closer knock off of the iphone than the voyager, i dont know for sure, the samsung rep should be in any day now ill have to have an "off-to-the-side" convo with him that he always lets me have :D

slashgear article from jan 10th.

Have not seen anything more since then. I have the Touch currently but am VERY interested in this model.

Has some info in the article about screen size and basic features. Nothing much more than listed above, but some a little more info. That is if the info turns out to be correct.

SPHM800ZKS is being reported as the sku.

per reputable source it should be out by the end of this month.

I cannot confirm this but just passing along.

...at the end he pulls one out but its not branded...and he gives a hint that it has TouchWiz on it and not Croix....what do u think? Wich would u prefer?
