It’s been close to seven years since Samsung launched its first foldable phone. While Apple hasn’t released a similar device yet, it plans to launch at least three new foldable mobile devices in the next four years. Its first foldable device could launch next year, but its Galaxy Z Flip competitor (https://www.sammobile.com/news/foldable-iphone-launch-2026-rival-galaxy-z-flip/) won’t be available until 2028.
According to revered Korean tipster yeux1122 (https://m.blog.naver.com/yeux1122/224049467632) (via MacWorld (https://www.macworld.com/article/2950068/porominent-leaker-details-three-alleged-new-upcoming-iphone-designs.html)), Apple plans to launch three significantly new iPhones in the next three years. The first foldable iPhone is expected to launch in 2026 and will resemble a Galaxy Z Fold 7. It could feature an 8-inch foldable screen that opens into an iPad Mini-like device. The second device will be a completely bezel-free iPhone with an OLED panel that is bent on all four sides.

It will feature a sub-7-inch internal foldable display and a simple cover screen that displays essential information and notifications. If this information is accurate, Samsung has three more years to perfect the Galaxy Z Flip formula.
