Until last week, Samsung was busy with Galaxy Unpacked (https://www.sammobile.com/tag/galaxy-unpacked-2024/), where it launched the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, Galaxy Buds 3, and Galaxy Ring. As such, the company was slow to roll out the July 2024 security patch (https://www.sammobile.com/tag/july-2024-security-patch/).
Fortunately, now that the event is over, the company is wasting no time in releasing the latest security update. After the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy S24, and Galaxy S21, Samsung has now started rolling out the July 2024 security patch to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 (https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-z-flip-5/). It fixes 58 security issues.

Currently, the company is rolling out the latest security update to the international variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the carrier-locked version of the phone for the US, which have model numbers SM-F721B and SM-F721U respectively. The new firmware for the former has version F731BXXS3CXG2 and that for the latter carries version F731USQS4CXG2.
If you have either model of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, you can get the latest security update by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Alternatively, you can head to SamMobiles firmware section (https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/), search for your device, download the firmware for your region, and install it manually using the Odin software on a Windows PC.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 will get One UI 6.1.1 by December 2024
